🇺🇸 Thank You, Fairport Veterans! 🇺🇸

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out to the first meeting of Brooks-Sheppard American Legion Post 765 at the Fairport VFW!

It was encouraging to see Veterans come together with a shared interest in rebuilding a Post that has served our community for more than 100 years. This is just the beginning, and we are excited about what we can accomplish together.

But we still need more members.

Membership is the foundation of any Veterans Service Organization. Whether you become an active participant, take on a leadership role, or simply join and help strengthen our numbers, every member makes a difference.

If you're an American Legion member currently At-Large, belong to another Post and would consider transferring, or are a Veteran who has never joined the Legion, we would love to have you become part of Post 765.

And we're asking our community for ideas:

What else can we do to attract new members?
What programs, events, activities, or services would make you want to become involved?
What would you like to see your local American Legion Post do for Veterans and the community?

We want to hear from you. Drop your ideas in the comments or reach out to us directly.

With the continued support of the Fairport VFW Post 8495, we're determined to rebuild Post 765 into a strong, active organization that honors its history while creating something meaningful for the next generation.

The legacy is worth saving. The future is ours to build. 🇺🇸

Good morning followers. This letter has gone out to over 1,700 (non-Legion member) veterans in our community and at-large Legion members in the surrounding area. Please share far and wide so we can have a good attendance at the next meeting for the Fairport American Legion. Help us rebuild this 100+ year old post.

The New Home of the Fairport American Legion! Brooks-Shepard Post 765 was established over 100 years ago and is undergoing a resurgence to rebuild it's membership numbers as well as veteran and community support!
