NWTF COMMUNITY MEETING UPDATE

Thank you to everyone in attendance at the recent community meeting for new chapter discussion! It was encouraging to spend the evening with so many people who care about conservation, the outdoors, and keeping a strong NWTF presence here in North Central West Virginia.

For those who were unable to attend, we'd like to share a brief update:

The discussion centered around the formation of a new local NWTF chapter and the opportunities it can create for our communities. We talked about how a chapter operates, the responsibilities of officers and committees, fundraising opportunities, banquet requirements, and most importantly, how volunteers are the heart of everything a successful chapter accomplishes.

One thing everyone agreed on was that there is a place for anyone who wants to help. Whether you enjoy planning events, serving in a leadership role, helping with conservation projects, working with youth, assisting at a banquet, or simply volunteering when your schedule allows, every contribution matters. The goal is to build a team where everyone can serve in a way that is both meaningful and manageable.

Some of the best moments of the evening were spent talking turkey, sharing hunting stories, discussing conservation, and enjoying the fellowship that naturally comes from people who share a love for the outdoors!

Several exciting ideas are already being developed, and we're looking forward to the work ahead. If you weren't able to attend, please know you haven't missed your opportunity to be involved. There will be additional public meetings as the organizational process continues, and we'd love to have you join us!

As many of you know, the Prickett's Fort Limb Hangers chapter has officially concluded its service. Until a new local chapter is formally organized and able to establish its own communication channels, we'll continue sharing occasional updates here to keep those interested informed. Once that process is complete, all communication will transition to the new chapter's official page.

The Prickett's Fort Limb Hangers chapter leaves behind a legacy of dedicated volunteers, meaningful conservation work, youth outreach, and countless friendships. While this chapter has reached its conclusion, the mission continues. This is an opportunity to build something new - guided by the same passion for conservation, hunting heritage, and community service that has always been at the heart of the NWTF.

If you'd like to learn more, ask questions, or become involved in any capacity, please don't hesitate to reach out. We'd love to have your involvement in this potential new chapter for our area.

🔔 INFORMATION: the NWTF Prickett’s Fort Limb Hangers Chapter will soon be concluding its service to our area!…

Before anything else, we want to express our sincere gratitude to the many volunteers, committee members, sponsors, donors, banquet attendees, and supporters who have helped make this chapter successful throughout the years. The conservation projects, youth outreach programs, scholarships, hunting heritage initiatives, habitat work, and community involvement accomplished through this chapter have left a lasting impact on North Central West Virginia.

A very special thank you is owed to Davis Electric Co Inc, whose founding support, financial contributions, volunteerism, and continued dedication have played an instrumental role in the success of the Prickett’s Fort Limb Hangers Chapter from the very beginning. Their commitment to conservation and our local community has helped make countless opportunities possible, and we are deeply grateful for everything they have done over the years!

While we are saddened to see this chapter conclude, we are excited about the opportunity for YOU to continue the NWTF mission in our area through the formation of a new local chapter.

If you have ever enjoyed attending a banquet, participating in a JAKES Day event, supporting conservation, promoting hunting heritage, helping youth discover the outdoors, or simply making a positive impact in your community, we invite you to a Community Organizational Meeting as we discuss what comes next.
