We are growing!

Recently we have welcomed and pinned TWO new members; Christopher Walker and Julie Mathess!

As a new member Christopher has volunteered to help do some of the weekly food donation delivery from Food Lion in Marion Square to the Soup Opera downtown.

And a round of applause for Julie. She joined at the beginning and busy season of our Fly the Flag project and she ran full steam ahead with helping update flags and install flags alongside longtime member Norm Gundersen! They make a great team!

Congratulations to all of our East Fairmont High School Interact members!

Club members Jeff Merrifield and Nick Ailport presented graduates with their certificate and stole.

This group of young adults is ready to take their drive of Service Above Self to their next chapter; so keep an eye out for these exceptional graduates!

As many in the community know several of our club members wear multiple hats and give back to the community in various ways.

We have Jeff Merrifield and Laura Candell who are also members of the Fairmont Board of Realtors. At the end of May they worked together to help East Fairmont Middle School freshen up a flower bed and plant a few new trees around the school grounds.

We also had Marcie Hayhurst at Rivesville Elementary School who helped relocate mulch and freshen the playground.

Thank you to Jeff, Laura, Marcie for the continued volunteer hours! And shout out the Fairmont Board of Realtors who also had teams of volunteers at two other local schools painting and planting!

Starting at 10am till our over 200 plants sponsored by First Energy are gone!

🌱 The Rotary Club of Fairmont is proud to participate in the Main Street Fairmont Hometown Market, where members are passing out free elderberry, winter spice, and spice bush seedlings to community members.

It’s a wonderful opportunity to encourage local planting, support pollinators, and help make the community a little greener — one seedling at a time. 🌿

Thank you to everyone who stops by to chat, pick up a plant, and support the amazing work happening through Fairmont Rotary Club and Main Street Fairmont.
