The Little Tree Project Defeat Human Trafficking

The little tree lived on a mountain-top and wanted to grow big and tall. Many years passed. God has a greater plan.

One day, a woodcutter came and cut the tree down. Overwhelmed with confusion, the tree could feel her dreams dying with each devastating blow from the axe. The tree's world - once peaceful - immediately was filled with chaos, as the woodcutter shaped the tree into a feed box for animals. The little tree no longer stood tall, but would soon see that it would be holding the greatest treasure that th

e world had ever known - Jesus Christ, our Lord! With this story in mind, we believe that God has a greater purpose for the victims of slavery than to be a "cut-down down tree" with no purpose. He desires to take the dreams that have been stripped from these women, men and children and create something beautiful. Like the little tree, each survivor will be fashioned into something that God can use. Their stories will reach the hearts of so many people. Their pains of the past will be used to help remedy other lives who have experienced the same struggles, and their legacy will proclaim the true hope found only in Christ. While the victims of human trafficking are our primary focus, The Little Tree Project also reaches out to the people in our surrounding communities who have dealt with similar tragedies such as the following: sexual assaults, emotional abuse, psychological abuse, in**st and r**e. We look forward to the discovery, healing and restoration of these victims, no matter what their background. Our desire is to put our faith into action by using our gifts to not only raise awareness, but to also raise charity funds supporting those rescuing the victims of human trafficking. With the funds raised, 20% will go to the A21 Campaign, 20% to EyeHeartWorld, 50% to the Little Tree Project, and 10% will be tithed at our local church.

June is PTSD Awareness Month.

For many survivors of human trafficking and exploitation, trauma does not end when the exploitation ends.

Long after someone reaches safety, the effects of trauma can remain in the body, mind, and nervous system:

hypervigilance
panic attacks
nightmares
emotional numbness
flashbacks
difficulty trusting others
dissociation
anxiety
shame
exhaustion
fear of safety itself
Healing is rarely linear.

Some survivors are learning how to sleep peacefully for the first time in years.
Some are learning what healthy relationships look like.
Some are learning that their worth was never defined by what happened to them.
Some are simply trying to make it through one day at a time.

PTSD is not weakness.
It is often the result of surviving what no human being should have had to endure.

At The Little Tree Project, we believe survivors deserve more than rescue alone.
They deserve long-term support, trauma-informed care, safety, dignity, and the opportunity to heal fully.

This month, we honor the strength of survivors everywhere , not just for surviving, but for continuing to fight for healing, hope, and restoration every single day.

Healing is possible.
And no survivor should have to walk that journey alone.

🚨 MONTHLY ROUNDUP: Demand 🚨

This month alone, communities across the country continued to uncover the growing realities of:

* human trafficking
* online exploitation
* child sexual abuse material (CSAM)
* sextortion
* online grooming
* exploitation-related arrests and investigations

All proving demand - human trafficking and sexual exploitation of the most vulnerable wouldn’t exist without demand. Why do we share this?

Because awareness matters.

For too long, exploitation thrived in secrecy, silence, and misunderstanding. What many assumed only happened somewhere else is increasingly being exposed within ordinary communities, schools, homes, churches, and online spaces.

Because there is demand, there are victims.
The reality is difficult.
But bringing darkness into the light is part of prevention.

At The Little Tree Project, we believe education, collaboration, survivor advocacy, and community awareness are essential in confronting exploitation and protecting vulnerable people.

This is why our work matters.
This is why prevention matters.
This is why informed communities matter.

Stay aware.
Stay engaged.
Keep protecting the vulnerable.
Support those saying “yes” to the work.

As Mental Health Awareness Month comes to a close, we want to remind you:

Healing matters. Prevention matters. People matter.

Mental health is deeply connected to both vulnerability and restoration in the fight against human trafficking.

Thank you for standing with survivors, advocates, responders, and communities working toward healing and freedom.

During operations and trainings, emotions run high. Investigators carry the weight of difficult conversations. Survivors often walk into rooms filled with fear, uncertainty, and trauma. Even seasoned officers can feel the heaviness of the work they are stepping into.

And then Molly walks in.
She leans into someone’s knee.
She lays her head quietly in a trembling lap as if she somehow knows exactly who needs her most.

She doesn't just help with survivors though. We have watched hardened officers soften when they kneel beside her after a long day. We have seen overwhelmed trainees pause, breathe, and regroup simply by sitting with her for a few minutes. We have watched people who struggled to trust anyone begin talking while absentmindedly petting Molly’s ears.

She creates something rare in this work: safety.

Not the kind that comes from locked doors or tactical plans.
The kind that reminds people they are human.

One evening after an operation, the room was emotionally exhausted. Conversations were heavy. Everyone carried the invisible weight that comes with fighting trafficking and protecting vulnerable people.

In the middle of that exhaustion, Molly quietly walked over to an investigator sitting alone against the wall. Without a word, she curled up at his feet and rested there. He later told us, “That was the first moment all night I felt my shoulders relax.”

That is the impact your support makes possible.

Not just operations.
Not just trainings.
Not just awareness.

But moments of humanity in places where darkness tries to take over.

Molly, our therapy dog, may never fully understand the mission she is part of.
But every time she walks into a training room or operation, she reminds us why this work matters.

Because fighting trafficking is not only about stopping evil.
It is about protecting the heart of people along the way.

And sometimes, healing arrives on four paws.

Raw and Uncut: Behind the Scenes moment with our Founder, Allana and Director of Field Operations, Genna.

Fighting trafficking often looks less like movies and more like long conversations, collaboration, difficult decisions, and people carrying the weight of protecting vulnerable lives.

It looks like being on a work trip, taking a roadside photo op and getting a survivor call that leads to a rental car workshop. For 2 hours and from states away we processed intake, connected the survivor to trusted emergency service partners, coordinated safe transport, started their case with our investigative team, and she is now safe!

This work happens in meeting rooms, airports, late-night phone calls, training spaces, and moments most people never see.

And behind every survivor success story is a community of fellow humans committed to showing up again and again for those who deserve safety, dignity, and freedom - no matter the location, hour, or hurdles they face.

We sat down with some of the most curious, compassionate young people and talked about something that doesn't get discussed enough: the powerful connection between addiction and human trafficking.

Here's the thing, prevention starts with conversation. When we give young people the knowledge and language to recognize danger, we give them power. Schools are one of the most important places we can show up, because the earlier these conversations happen, the stronger the roots of awareness grow.

Kids deserve to feel informed, not scared. Safe, not silent. And seen. đź’š

Thank you for opening your doors and trusting us with your students, Central Christian School. This is exactly the work that matters most.

Today, we pause to remember and honor the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

Memorial Day is more than a long weekend. It is a reminder of the tremendous sacrifice carried by so many families, generations, and communities in the pursuit of protecting others.

At The Little Tree Project, we are deeply grateful for those who served with courage, humility, and selflessness. We also recognize the many veterans, service members, law enforcement professionals, and first responders who continue carrying the weight of protecting vulnerable people every day.

Freedom always comes at a cost.

Today, we remember those who paid it.

From all of us at Little Tree Project, thank you to the brave men and women whose sacrifice will never be forgotten. 🇺🇸

Behind the scenes: Last week, our team traveled to San Jose and the Bay Area to spend time with trusted partners, strengthen relationships, and continue building collaborative responses to human trafficking and sexual exploitation across the nation.

Over the course of the trip, we had the opportunity to learn from organizations, discuss long-term partnership strategies, detect and identify trends impacting vulnerable populations in the Bay Area, and engage in conversations surrounding prevention, outreach, survivor support, and response efforts across the nation.

This trip was a reminder that lasting impact is never accomplished alone. It happens through collaboration, shared vision, and people who are willing to show up together for the cause of freedom.

We are deeply grateful to the partners who welcomed us, shared their wisdom, and invited us into their work. We also want to thank our supporters and community who make opportunities like this possible. Through the generosity of these partners, this trip was fully covered for Little Tree - allowing us to invest our time, energy, and focus directly into relationship-building and future initiatives.

There is so much ahead, and we are expectant for what these connections and collaborations may lead to in the future. 🌎🤝🌱
