Once I began living unapologetically as myself, my whole perspective changed.

I let myself be open to throwing out everything I had known to be effective in keeping myself safe (whatever that means). I started living my life on my own terms.

I have to admit, we've had a lot of laughs about my mom and her rocks. But the more I think about it, the more I realize there is something really special about what she is doing. Because these aren't just rocks. They're little acts of kindness.
