It’s HOMECOMING time!! 🏈🎉 We are SO excited for the 2026 Fairfield Homecoming Parade on Friday, October 2nd!
This is always such a fun and exciting night for our girlie pops! Please read ALL of the information below carefully so we can keep everything organized, running on time, and most importantly, SAFE for every cheerleader! ❤️
🏫 EARLY SCHOOL RELEASE
Schools are allowing a 3:00 PM excused early release for cheerleaders participating in the Homecoming Parade with a parent note or email sent to your school’s attendance office.
We strongly encourage parents to EMAIL the attendance office ahead of time rather than sending a written note. Please include your cheerleader’s name and that they will be participating in the Fairfield Homecoming Parade.
📣 CHEERLEADER DROP-OFF
📍 Drop-Off: Gold Star
Cheerleaders should NOT be dropped off before 4:00 PM unless your coach has specifically instructed your squad differently.
Coaches will be at Gold Star to collect their cheerleaders and walk them over to their assigned floats.
🚨 ALL cheerleaders must arrive NO LATER than 4:30 PM!
🎀 Everyone needs to be loaded, seated and ready to go by 4:45 PM.
🕔 The parade begins promptly at 5:00 PM — and the parade waits for NO ONE! Please plan accordingly and allow yourself extra time for traffic!
👕 UNIFORMS
Please follow the uniform instructions provided by your squad’s coach.
NO POM POMS are needed for the parade.
💧🍿 WATER & SNACKS
Each squad is responsible for providing water and snacks for their cheerleaders. Your coaches may reach out to parents asking for donations or help with supplies, so please help out if you are able! ❤️
📍 PARADE PICK-UP — CREEKSIDE
FYCA’s portion of the parade will end at Creekside Middle School, and this area WILL be busy! 😂 There will be families picking up cheerleaders, people heading to the game, and lots of traffic.
We recommend heading toward Creekside after drop-off so you can find a good viewing spot and be ready for pickup when our girls arrive.
🚨 Your cheerleader must be picked up immediately following the parade.
❤️🤍 SARAH’S NON-RETIRED NON-NEGOTIABLES 😂
1. THE PARADE WAITS FOR NO ONE! Please be where your coach has instructed you to be and BE ON TIME! Give yourself plenty of extra time for traffic.
2. NO CHEERLEADER WILL EXIT A FLOAT/TRAILER until it is completely parked AND their coach has released them.
Parents must check in with the coach before taking their cheerleader. Please do NOT approach the float and remove your child without coach permission. We have to maintain an accurate headcount and know that every girl has safely made it to her parent/guardian.
3. Please follow ALL parade and safety instructions. Failure to follow these expectations may result in your cheerleader sitting out at the next game they attend.
4. CREEKSIDE WILL BE A MESS! 😂 Please bring your patience! There is a method to our madness, and every decision we make is to keep YOUR girls safe. ❤️
5. HAVE FUN!!! 🎉 This is one of the BEST events of our season! Let’s make some memories, represent FYCA, and give our girls an AWESOME Homecoming experience!
