Piper Davis Baseball Piper Davis Baseball is an Inner City Baseball Organization designed to give all baseball players an Plump, Jr.

The Piper Davis Youth Baseball League was founded in Birmingham, AL in 1992 by Fred L. The league, formed to honor Negro League baseball players, was specifically named "Piper Davis Youth Baseball League" in honor of Lorenzo "Piper" Davis, a local resident of Birmingham. Prior to Piper's passing, he shared his personal experiences with the Negro League as a Black Baron and as Black Baron Manager.

The league was formed initially with three local parks, Brighton, Hueytown and West End with twelve teams the first year. The second year the league expanded to twenty-four teams and the third year to thirty six teams. At the end of the 2010 season the league grew to sixty-four teams. In 2013, the league expanded to thirteen states, the District of Columbia and the Bahamas. Piper Davis Youth Baseball League is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization that is molding young urban student athletes into future leaders in society. Our mission is to provide opportunities to develop character, sportsmanship, self-esteem, discipline and foster leadership, provide educational support, life skill training and furnish a blueprint for success through sports training for the youth by creating a safe and nurturing environment through the areas of sports and academia. The league is operated from Lowery Park, a city owned property located in the Southwest sector of Birmingham, AL.

Charlotte Meyers is a philanthropist at heart. Charlotte is passionate about serving and helping others in need, as well as inspiring positive social change. Her philanthropic accomplishments include board positions as Piper Davis Baseball League Board of Director, Golf Fundraising Chair, VP of Fundraising, Program (Graphic Designer) Chair, Boys Scout of America – Troop Committee Board Member, Merit Badge Counselor, Team Representative, , and other non-profit organizations. Charlotte has a background in management, project management, speaker, technical writing, and training with a bachelor’s degree in Business Management. She started a new entrepreneur venture in 2021 of athletic wear design, creating journals and writing books. Charlotte also has a blog that encourages the world to follow the dreams. She is married with four teenage children and resides in Texas.

Piper Davis Introduces our National Secretary, Ms. Michelle Lee.

Michelle Sallie Lee grew up in the city of Pittsburgh, PA. Upon completion of her undergraduate degree from Tennessee State University she moved to Alabama currently residing in Fairfield. Professionally,

Michelle is employed by the Birmingham Police Department as a Crime Analyst which allows her the opportunity to serve the residents of Birmingham. Michelle’s involvement with Piper Davis began 15 years ago when she, her late husband Anthony, and several friends formed the Fairfield Tigers Youth Sports Association, a non-profit that develops children in baseball, basketball, football and cheerleader.

Michelle enjoys being of service to others which is evidenced by her being a Life member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., president of the Valley Pearls Service Foundation, a member of New Life Missionary Baptist Church where she serves as Trustee and Sunday School Teacher, the League of Women Voters,
secretary for the Glen Oaks Neighborhood Association and secretary of the Tennessee State University National Alumni Association, Birmingham Chapter.

Michelle is the proud mother of five sons, two who grew up playing in Piper Davis and now serve as coaches, and has two beautiful grandchildren.
