Are you an adult living with a mental health condition who wants to better understand yourself and your recovery? Join NAMI Solano County for Peer-to-Peer, a free, nine-session virtual educational program.

👥 Open to adults ages 18+

Learn practical skills for recovery and wellness in a safe, accepting environment led by compassionate, trained leaders with lived experience. Connect with people who understand and find opportunities for mutual support and growth.

Do you have a family member or loved one living with a mental health condition? Join NAMI Solano County for our free, 8-week Family-to-Family education program.

👥 Open to adults ages 18+

Connect with other families while learning about mental health conditions, communication, treatment, advocacy, and more. Classes are led by family members who have “been there” and offer practical information, encouragement, understanding, and hope.

NAMI Solano County Peer Gatherings are back this August and September!

These free, peer-led gatherings offer adults with lived experience of mental health challenges a safe, judgment-free place to connect, try something creative, and spend time with people who “get it.”

A grassroots nonprofit organization committed to supporting individuals and families impacted by mental illness

Last week, we said goodbye to our incredible Executive Director, Deb Demello, as she officially began her well-earned retirement. 💙

It's hard to put into words just how much she's meant to NAMI Solano County. Over the last three years, she's led our organization with compassion, an unwavering commitment to our mission, and a genuine belief in the power of peer support.

Thanks to her dedication, NAMI Solano launched our very own NAMIWalks Solano, creating a local community event that's become a source of hope, connection, and support. She championed projects like Psychiatric Advance Directives (PADs), helping empower people to have a voice in their own mental health care. She also believed deeply in making NAMI's programs more accessible to diverse communities, supporting outreach efforts and culturally responsive initiatives that helped us connect with more populations in our county. Behind the scenes, she also strengthened our organization by improving donor tracking, implementing better systems, and always looking for ways to help us grow and better serve our community.

But more than any project or accomplishment, she'll be remembered for the way she cared for people. Whether it was a community member looking for help, a family searching for hope, or a staff member or volunteer needing support, Deb always made people feel heard and valued. She believed in people and in the difference they could make.

Thank you, Deb, for your years of leadership, your steadfast support, and everything you've done to make NAMI Solano County what it is today. We hope this next chapter brings you plenty of time for the people, places, and adventures that make you happiest. Congratulations on your retirement! 💙
