NAMI Solano Monthly General Meeting Update 🔊

Each month, we gather as a community to connect, learn, and strengthen mental health support in Solano County.

Missed our April meeting? We had a meaningful discussion about Psychiatric Advance Directives (PADs) and how they help individuals take an active role in planning for their mental health care during a crisis. If you weren’t able to join us, you can still catch the full conversation and community updates by watching the replay.

Celebrating the history of Mother’s Day and the love, strength, and care that mothers and caregivers bring to our lives every day. 💐 From its origins rooted in compassion and community to the way we honor moms today, this story reminds us why connection and appreciation matter so much.

🚨 URGENT COMMUNITY CALL TO ACTION 🚨

After more than 10 years of supporting NAMI Solano County staff and programs, Solano County’s proposed Behavioral Health Services Act (BHSA) Integrated Plan would reduce funding for NAMI Solano County’s Prevention and Early Intervention services to $0.

This impacts FREE mental health support, education, outreach, peer support, and family programs in our community.

We need our community’s voices NOW.

If NAMI Solano County programs, support groups, classes, outreach, or events have impacted you, your family, or someone you love — please speak up.

The County has specifically asked to hear lived experiences, feedback about barriers to care, gaps in services, and why prevention and early intervention matter.

Even a short comment can make a difference.

🗓 DEADLINE: TOMORROW — May 10, 2026

Recognizing the Heart of NAMI: Our Volunteers 💙

Recently, we had the joy of gathering together to celebrate the incredible volunteers who give their time, energy, and compassion to NAMI Solano County. Our Volunteer Appreciation Party was a small way to say thank you to the people who make such a big difference in our community every single day.

Whether supporting programs, helping at events, offering hope to families, or simply showing up with kindness and dedication, our volunteers are the heart of our mission. Your commitment helps create a community where no one faces mental health challenges alone.

We are deeply grateful for each and every one of you. Thank you for your passion, your generosity, and the countless ways you continue to uplift others. We couldn’t do this work without you.

Your kindness changes lives and we celebrate you today and every day. ✨
