Tayla Walker from Lincoln High School went home Saturday night with a $100 scholarship as a Rhode Island State Finalist! We know she’ll do great things as she heads into senior year and work towards her goals in Pharmacy. Good luck, Tayla!
Ava Garcia of Lasalle Academy High School took home the Overall Fitness Award for $250 and a State Finalist award of $100 for a total of $350 towards her future education goals of becoming a nurse working in pediatric oncology! We know you’ll do great things, Ava!
Taylor Surkont of St. Andrew’s School was not only voted the Spirit of DYW with a $250 scholarship, but also found herself the Overall Interview, Overall Self Expression and 2nd Finalist winning a total of $1250! This will go directly towards her future goals of becoming a Family Therapist. Best of luck this year, Taylor!
Eliana Joshi of Lincoln High School went home the First Finalist and Overall Talent winner on Saturday! Taking home $1000 in scholarships, she will use it well towards her goals of becoming a pediatric neurologist! Good luck, Eliana!
In addition to Distinguished Young Woman of Rhode Island for 2027, Emma MacCartney of Mount Saint Charles Academy also took home the Overall Scholastics Award earning a total of $1250 in cash scholarships as she works towards the goal of being a Commissioned Officer in the Coast Guard. This program is a special one and the same can be said for the Class of 2027! In only 3 days, these girls became inseparable and are already planning their next get together at Chili’s!
