What is aphasia?

Aphasia is a disorder that results from damage to portions of the brain that are responsible for language. The disorder impairs the expression and understanding of language as well as reading and writing.

Caregivers enhance the quality of survivors' lives immensely. But too much stress can harm mental health – which is why we aim to support caregivers as much as we support the survivors in their care.

Caregivers are more likely to experience symptoms of depression or anxiety. If you’re experiencing signs of caregiving stress, reach out to your case manager.
