🌙 The Fairfax Optimist Club is launching an Evening Edition!

You may know that the Fairfax Optimist Club meets bright and early on Tuesday mornings—but we know 6:30 AM doesn’t fit everyone’s schedule!

That’s why we’re launching a new Evening Edition, giving more people an opportunity to get involved and make a difference for our youth and community.

🇺🇸 A Big Thank You from the Fairfax Optimist Club! 🇺🇸

On behalf of the Fairfax Optimist Club, I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make the 60th Annual Fairfax Fair such a success this past weekend!

This year’s theme, “Celebrate America!”, was a great reminder of the community spirit that makes Fairfax such a special place. From those who worked behind the scenes to the organizations, volunteers, students, and community members who helped with events—and everyone who came out to enjoy the Fair—your time, hard work, and support keep this tradition going strong. 🇺🇸

👏 Congratulations to all of our winners! From the Baby Show and Miss Fairfax Contest on Friday night to Saturday’s parade, ping pong toss, raffles, giveaways, contests, and everything in between, thank you to everyone who participated and brought so much fun and excitement to the weekend.

A special thank you goes to our sponsors, local businesses, organizations, and community members whose generosity and support make the Fairfax Fair possible year after year. We simply could not do it without you.

As we wrap up the 60th Annual Fairfax Fair, maybe this year’s theme leaves us with a little reminder that the heart of American freedom has always been found right here in our small towns and fields. 🇺🇸🌾 It is found in neighbors helping neighbors, people giving their time, families gathering together, and communities like ours keeping traditions alive from one generation to the next.

Exciting news for the Fairfax Optimist Club…we are exploring an “Evening Addition” meeting to offer to the community of Fairfax and the surrounding area! If you are a community minded person and have a passion for helping youth and children you just might be the type of optimistic person we are looking for. The Optimist International vision statement states, “Optimist International will be recognized worldwide as the premier volunteer organization that values all children and helps them to develop to their full potential.” Come be a part of pouring into the next generation!!

We are one month away from the 2026 Fairfax Fair..."Celebrate America!" We are excited for the weekend. As we approach, the schedule could shift at times.

Friday, August 21, 2026

5:30 PM – Baby Show Registration
6:00 PM – Welcome & Booths Open
6:30 PM – Baby Show followed by Ms. Fairfax
At the end of the stage events, there will be a dance on the slab.

Saturday, August 22, 2026

9:30 AM – Parade line-up begins at the Ag Building
10:30 AM – Harry Combs Memorial Tractor Show
11:00 AM – Parade (Booths open after the Parade
6:00 PM – Southeast Nebraska Community Band directed by Ann Belva

A Comedian
Eric Taylor
Chris Jones
Following the stage events on Saturday, there will be live music on the slab with the Curtis Wayne Stroud Band

In 2026, our nation celebrates the 250th anniversary of the United States, and we believe that is something worth celebrating in a big way. Our fair theme this year is all about celebrating our country, our communities, our freedoms, and the people who make small towns like Fairfax such special places to call home.

We are proud to be Americans. We are proud of our community. And we are excited for a fair that brings everyone together in a true celebration of America.
