🎣 Fairfax Optimist Club Fishing Afternoon 🎣

Mark your calendars! On Wednesday, September 17th after school (Early Out), the Fairfax Optimist Club will be taking 4th–5th graders fishing. Club members will pick up the students, provide tackle and a snack, and bring them back to the east side of the City Park for pick up is at 3:00 PM.

👉 Important: All youth must have a permission slip filled out or they will not be able to attend. Permission slips will be sent to the school soon—be sure to watch for them!

No need to bring anything—we’ve got everything covered. Just come ready to fish, have fun, and enjoy the afternoon together.

The Fairfax Optimist Club extends a warm welcome to all students, teachers, and staff as you begin the 2025–2026 school year!

We’re proud of our Fairfax R-III family and all the ways you show Bulldog Pride—in the classroom, on the field, on the stage, and throughout the community. This year is a new chapter filled with opportunities to learn, grow, and shine.

📣 A Big Thank You from the Fairfax Optimist Club! 🎉

On behalf of the Fairfax Optimist Club, I want to extend our heartfelt thanks to all the people, organizations, and students who helped make the 59th Annual Fairfax Fair such a success this past weekend. From those who worked behind the scenes to those who showed up to support the events, your time and dedication are what make this tradition so special.

👏 Congratulations to all the winners of our contests, raffles, and giveaways—from the Baby Show and Miss Fairfax Contest on Friday night, to the parade and ping pong toss prizes on Saturday, and every competition and drawing throughout the weekend. Your participation and enthusiasm truly brought the fair to life!

A special thanks also goes to our wonderful sponsors, local businesses, and community members who provided support and encouragement. We couldn’t do it without you.
