FCE Board is aware of VDOT's quality of work on the roads in our community. The FCE president, Travis, is in constant communication with VDOT. VDOT will return this week for final work and cleaning.

After this week, if you see a condition on the road done by VDOT that is not well cleaned, please do let use know so we can notify VDOT of a specific location to fix/clean.

🚲🛴 Community Safety Reminder: Scooters & Bicycles

Dear Fairfax Club Estates Residents,

As children and families continue to enjoy the outdoors, the Fairfax Club Estates HOA would like to remind all residents to use extra caution when riding bicycles, scooters, and electric scooters throughout the community.

For the safety of our children and everyone in the neighborhood, parents and guardians are encouraged to review the following safety practices with their children:

* Always wear a properly fitted helmet when riding a bicycle or scooter.

* Watch for vehicles, pedestrians, and other riders at all times.
Ride at a safe and controlled speed, particularly around intersections, driveways, and areas with limited visibility.

* Use extra caution with electric scooters and bikes, as they can travel at higher speeds and require additional stopping distance.

* Do not ride recklessly or weave between parked or moving vehicles.

* Be aware of pedestrians, especially younger children, when using sidewalks and shared areas.

* Avoid riding after dark unless the bicycle or scooter is properly equipped with appropriate lighting and reflectors.

* Parents are encouraged to supervise younger children and ensure they understand safe riding practices.

Please remember that our community streets and common areas are shared by pedestrians, vehicles, bicycles, and scooters. A little extra caution and awareness can help prevent accidents and keep our neighborhood safe for everyone.

Thank you for helping the Fairfax Club Estates community remain a safe and enjoyable place for all residents and families.

The slurry of the FCE roads started now!

Please make sure you move out your vehicles, trailers, trash bins, and other objects on your side of roads.

You can park your extra vehicles on the pool parking lot if can not fit your driveways. You can park your trailers on the pool parking lot temporarily.

Put your trash bins and objects on your property not roads or curbsides.

If you are not around to move, you can ask your neighbors to move for you.

VDOT will do their best to move your stuffs if you can't, but they are not liable for outcome of such moving.

Hello Everyone,

Yesterday, FCE Board received word that VDOT plans to begin resurfacing our neighborhood streets this week, starting Sept 3.

More information about what VDOT are doing for the roads in FCE and the timeline of their works:
https://www.neighborhoodslurry.com/process

Please be on the lookout for signages indicating when specific streets will be impacted. VDOT has assured us they will knock on doors before towing, but please park vehicles in driveways this week to avoid a tow. The vehicles need to leave the marked areas by 7am Sept 3.

Pool parking lot and the end circle lot at the Snowy Owl pass the pool are available as extra parking meanwhile.

Please know that we've expressed concerns about the short notice to VDOT, and we've informed VDOT that residents who may be away, will be unable to move street-parked vehicles in time. The FCE President Travis is in constant communication with VDOT representative about residents' vehicles and accesses.

We will post more updates as we get them.

Any concern, please send an email to us [email protected] .

This page describes the pavement preservation process with slurry surfacing in detail as well as tips and tricks for residents and what to expect.

Due to hazardous and unsafe smoke, the air quality in Fairfax County is not ideal for pool. Crystal Aquatics, our pool management, informed us that they will not put lifeguards outside today. Therefore the pool will be closed today.

We will monitor the air quality for tomorrow and let you know if the pool can be opened tomorrow or not.

FCE Board
