Friends of Fox Spring advocate public use and stewardship of this wild Alaska public drinking water system, owned and operated by AKDOTPF at 2331 Elliott Highway in the unincorporated community of Fox, Alaska. Our "Memorandum of Agreement Fox Spring" established a private-public partnership with Alaska DOT&PF July 1, 2017. All donations to FoFS are received by our fiscal sponsor North Star Community Foundation (NSCF), and are dedicated to our Fox Spring project. We work with Peter Pinney, NSCF Executive Director. All donations are tax-deductible, EIN 87-0761624. Friends of Fox Spring 2022 Board of Directors are: Melinda Harris, President; Katie McClellan, Secretary; Clyde Kelso, Treasurer; Crystal Bennally, Social Media Director; Ralph Snodgrass, Occupy Fox Spring Director. We are helped by many volunteers who participate in FNSB Clean-up Day, set up pre-paid FoFS Donation envelopes, and help during fundraising events. NSCF/FoFS receive a monthly Fox Spring invoice from State DOT&PF and reimburse expenses of Fox Spring maintenance, repairs, electricity, and water testing. Through state fiscal years 2018 to 2021 we've paid over $100K of DOT&PF's Fox Spring expenses. FoFS annual administrative budget is $1,000 and pays for print items, stickers, business cards, flyers; envelopes and postage; 2 domain names, foxspring.org and friendsoffoxspring.org; fundraiser expense; and our fiscal sponsorship fee (1% of donation deposits).
