Social dance/ballroom classes are an often overlooked method of character building experiences that greatly contribute to children/teen development. Not only is dancing a fun way to get exercise, but ballroom/social dancing has also been proven to promote manners, good posture, social skills, and boost confidence. We are proud to present a partnership with the Lathrop High School Ballroom Dance team which will highly benefit the Fairbanks youth community at a greater level. The 4H Interior Social Dance Club has been designed to help your child/teen acquire dance skills while also developing discipline, teamwork, and communication. 4H Interior Social Dance Club members will learn different genre such as swing, salsa, and the hustle. They will practice the basics of leading and following, and development their coordination and confidence. Most important of all our dance instruction is meant to be fun! Whether your child/teen wants to dance just for the fun of it or has aspirations to become part of the Lathrop Ballroom Dance Team our program will surely benefit the mind, body, and soul. As a member of the club your child/teen will also have opportunities to give back as well to the community which is a big part of the 4H organization as whole.
