CTC Academy is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization that provides educational and therapeutic services for students with a diverse array of developmental disabilities through our collaborative educational program and support services for students and families. We first opened our doors as the Cerebral Palsy Center of Bergen County, NJ, on March 29, 1950. We began as a Center for children with Cerebral Palsy but over the past 70 years we have evolved into an innovative education institution that provides creative education and advanced therapies to students with many different types of disabilities – students who face physical, medical and developmental challenges. Now we offer two schools and follow the school continuum from Preschool through age 21 as well as Early Enrichment for children ages 18 months through 3 years. Our Fair Lawn Campus serves students 18 months through 6 years of age. Bolger Oakland Campus serves students ages 6 through 21 years of age.

75 Years of CTC Academy!

Yesterday, we marked the grand conclusion of our 75th Anniversary celebration with the official burial of our Oakland time capsule!

From our humble beginnings in 1950 to our thriving campuses in Fair Lawn and Oakland today, so much has changed over the decades. But through it all, our commitment to our students, families, and belief in every child’s potential remains constant.

Inside the capsule are photos, notes, and memorabilia capturing the unique spirit of CTC in 2026. To our staff, students, families, and board members—thank you for making CTC extraordinary. See you in 2050!

Stay tuned for the photos from the burial of CTC Fair Lawn's Time Capsule soon!

A huge thank you to Farm Chicks for bringing some amazing hands-on farm fun to our CTC Fair Lawn students last week!

From petting sweet farm animals in their pens to meeting ducks up close, our students had the best time. We loved seeing all the different animals getting along so well together! We can’t wait to have you back!

Did you catch the NJ Association of Special Education Partner Schools (NJASEPS) conference info in your green envelope? Fair Lawn student Jerry’s parents did, and they were so glad they came! They loved connecting with our professionals and parents and left inspired to encourage other Fair Lawn families to take advantage of these great education and networking opportunities in the future.

Special thanks to Executive Director Anne Ogden and Therapy Supervisor / Speech Therapy Dept Head Amy Bergeson for connecting with our families and representing our team!

This month, we're celebrating Physical Therapy Awareness with two photos of the CTC Oakland PT staff (because one couldn't hold this much PT power!)

Did you know that school physical therapists help students move, learn, and fully participate in school activities? Whether it's improving balance, building strength, or navigating the classroom, they play a vital role in helping students succeed every day.

Stay tuned! We'll be sharing a photo of our CTC Fair Lawn staff, along with a look at how we're celebrating all month long!
