The spring 2026 edition of "The United Bowhunter" is available online for viewing and downloading. Thanks to all who contributed! The master files were sent to the printer this afternoon so I would expect hard copies to be delivered by the end of March.

Woohoo! Let's go fishing! Scenic Rivers Guide Service And Tours has teamed up with the UBM to offer Festival attendees a great opportunity. We are going to do a card raffle for a 2026 fishing trip on the Current River. The entry fee is $20 a card with 52 chances to win. The winner gets a guided fishing trip with Bill Smith, proprietor. Bill is on a first name basis with every fish in that river so you are guaranteed a good time! The winner can add another fisherman to the trip for an extra $100. You will be able to purchase cards at the registration table and the winner will be announce Saturday evening. Several members have fished with Bill before and can attest to what a great deal this is!

Cody Greenwood, of Trad Lab, wants to remind everyone attending the United Bowhunters of Missouri Festival (Feb 6th-8th) that he will be available Saturday for bow tuning advice. Just bring your bow and some fletched arrows.

Don't forget the annual Arrow Contest at this year's Festival, Feb 6th-8th!

The arrow contest is pretty straight forward. You may submit any number of handmade wooden arrows into the contest. Arrows must have a tag that includes your name along with any additional information you would like to include such as materials used in the arrow.

The winner will receive a $50 vendor credit to be used at any vendor at the banquet.

Don't forget to enter pictures in our annual Photo Contest at the Festival, Feb 6th-8th!

The categories are:

• Trail Camera - Pretty straight forward here, pick out your best trail cam picture to enter it into this category
• Bowhunter with game - Also pretty self-explanatory, lets see those hero pictures!
• General Wildlife - Can be any wildlife picture for this category
• Bowhunting related - This category can include pictures of bows, arrows, gear, set ups, really anything that can be related to the sport of bowhunting
• Outdoor Theory - this category is a little more open for interpretation. I like to think of things like scenery pictures, pictures of the outdoors, interesting finds in the woods, etc. these can be
pretty fun.
• William R. Brown Squirrel/Small Game - This category is a showcase all of those amazing squirrel and small game pictures we all love to take.

As far as photo submission, please bring the photos with you to the banquet. Photos must be 8X10 in size and need to include your name and the category you wish to enter them into written on the back or attached to your photo. There will be a limit of 2 entries per category per person. If you would like to display additional photos there will be a section for that as well! Please note that submitted photos will become property of the UBM and may appear in future UBM publications.

If you are planning on attending the United Bowhunters of Missouri Festival (Feb 6th-8th) and have not made hotel reservations, you need to get on it. The Oasis Hotel & Conv. Center, Ascend Hotel Collection will only hold our block of rooms until Monday, January 19th. After that, the block of rooms will be released to the general public.
