Update on what’s we’ve been up to lately: Thanks to a generous financial support from the public along with a grant from the Eveleth Community Foundation, we purchased a battery powered rescue tool for the Eveleth Fire Department, which can be used in vehicle rescue operations. The price tag for the tool was over $14,000. The benefit of the upgraded battery powered extrication equipment includes superior portability, taking up less space and being much lighter to carry around the scene, faster deployment without hydraulic hoses, and a safer workspace in what could be a life-or-death situation.

The Auxiliary and members of the Eveleth Fire Department will be out during the City Wide Rummage Sale. Sandwiches will be $10 each and a meal with pop/water and chips will be $11. All funds raised will go toward necessary equipment upgrades and training for the firefighters.
