Did you know that distracting a service dog can put their handler in danger? Here are 3 quick tips to keep in mind when you see a working team in public:

1. Speak to the handler, not the dog.
2. Avoid making eye contact, kissing noises, or calling the dog.
3. Always ask permission before approaching, but remember that many handlers are busy and may say no.

This was a lawsuit that I started with another mom, Raina, whose daughter was having the same issue at a different High School within the EVSC. We knew each other through Tri State K-9 Unified. We worked towards this for all SD teams.

The Walmart video I shared is a perfect example as to why legitimate service dog and service dog in training teams have issues with public access and our service dogs being attacked. Please sign my petition to make a change!
