The Vanderburgh County Sheriff's Office was honored to attend Albion Fellows Bacon Center's “An Evening of Hope” Gala— an inspiring evening dedicated to raising awareness and support for survivors of domestic and sexual violence.
The event highlighted the incredible impact Albion continues to make throughout southern Indiana by providing emergency shelter, advocacy, counseling services, and prevention education to individuals and families in need.
One of the most powerful moments of the evening came from the survivor guest speaker, whose words were both courageous and deeply moving. Their testimony was a true reflection of the life-changing support and hope that Albion Fellows Bacon Center provides every single day.
We are grateful for our continued partnership with Albion and the compassionate work they do 24 hours a day to serve victims in our community. Their dedication, advocacy, and unwavering support make them an essential resource for those facing some of life’s most difficult circumstances.
Behind every survivor is a community ready to help. If you or someone you know needs support, advocacy, or shelter services, contact Albion Fellows Bacon Center at 812-422-9272 or visit www.albioncenter.org

💜 Wear Purple. Stand for Change. 💜

The color purple has long been recognized as the symbol of Domestic Violence Awareness.
When we wear purple, we stand in solidarity with victims and show support for survivors—taking a stand against abuse in all its forms.

Sadly, not all domestic violence victims are given the opportunity to become survivors.

Today, and every day, we remember Allison Tenbarge and her baby Parker, whose lives were tragically taken on April 18, 2017. In their memory, Allie’s Voice, Inc. was established to honor their legacy through prevention and education.

Allie’s Voice, Inc. works to stop violence before it begins by promoting healthy relationship skills and teaching ways to identify and address behaviors that lead to violence.

Together, we can make a difference. 💜
Wear purple. Speak up. Be the voice that makes change.
