International Electricians’ Day is celebrated annually on June 10 to recognize the important work electricians do in keeping homes, businesses, and infrastructure powered and safe. The date was chosen to honor André-Marie Ampère, one of the pioneers of electromagnetism, whose work led to the electrical unit of current being named the ampere (amp) after him.
So if you’re involved in the electrical trade—whether as an electrician, apprentice, instructor, contractor, or supporter of the industry—Happy International Electricians’ Day! 🎉⚡
