Some of you might remember posts about kittens being thrown from cars on the north side of Evansville. We’re so happy to share the success story of our wiry little girl, Elvira. She was rescued by a good Samaritan who saw two kittens tossed from a moving car on a busy road. They called us for help, but sadly, her sibling didn't make it. Elvira weighed less than a pound; she was malnourished, anemic, full of parasites, and really struggling. Her foster mom spent sleepless nights checking on her and feeding her around the clock. Then, Elvira met her foster sister, a huge dog who turned out to be a gentle giant. She instantly bonded with her and even started eating with her. As she got stronger, her foster mom shared updates online, which is how her new owner found her. It was love at first sight, and she was all in. Miss Elvira is now living the good life, totally pampered and so loved.
