Happy Almost Pride Month, Evanston! 🌈

As many of you have heard, Evanston Pride will be taking a hiatus this year. We want to thank everyone who has contributed their time, energy, and passion to creating spaces where our LGBTQIA+ community could gather, celebrate, and be seen over the years. We wish the organization nothing but success as they take time to reflect, regroup, and explore what comes next.

While one chapter may be pausing, the spirit of Pride in our community continues. At Out North, we believe that connection, visibility, and celebration happen all year long, and we're excited to share that we have a variety of events planned throughout June for our q***r and ally community.

From social gatherings and volunteer opportunities to community celebrations and making new connections, there's something for everyone. We look forward to celebrating Pride with you and continuing to build a welcoming, inclusive community together.

Gather with friends, enjoy great company, and celebrate community while taking in dazzling performances from some incredible talent. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase throughout the evening.

Out North would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Curt's Cafe for hosting our Professional Networking Evening yesterday.

What a wonderful night of connection, conversation, and community building. We had the pleasure of gathering with local professionals, business owners, allies, and community members for an evening filled with meaningful dialogue and new connections. 🤝

In true networking fashion, we unfortunately failed to capture photos of the evening because everyone was so engrossed in conversation and enjoying the moment. Sometimes that is the best indication of a successful event. ❤️

Thank you to everyone who attended, shared your stories, supported local businesses, and helped continue building visibility and connection throughout Evanston and the North Shore.

Thank you to everyone who showed up, donated, and helped us Share OUT the Love today. Because of you, we were able to distribute donations across all three Evanston Community Fridges.

We even had the opportunity to speak with a few neighbors who rely on the fridges as a source of food for their families. Those conversations were a powerful reminder that this work truly matters. Community care is not abstract — it’s personal.

A heartfelt thank you to Crepe O'Clock for being an amazing partner today and helping us celebrate generosity with a 20% coupon for participants. We are so grateful for local businesses that step up and support efforts like this.

If you weren’t able to participate today, donations are still being accepted at Evanston Community Bank & Trust, 1740 Sherman Ave. Every item helps.
