Coming up, on SATURDAY May 30th, join us for the next Photo Walk! This time we're doing things a little differently; with a Photo Hike at Silver Falls State Park!

We'll be meeting up at the South Falls day use area at 11am, which is about a 1.5 hour drive from the Eugene/Springfield area, and there is a $10 parking fee at the day use area, so we encourage folks to carpool if you'd like!

Be sure to wear shoes that are comfortable and provide good traction! All pace and capability levels are welcome! We will try to keep the group together as much as possible, but we encourage you to "choose your own adventure"!

You can expect the hike to be around 3-5 miles total, but if this is not accessible to you, we welcome you to join us for as much as you feel able!

Besides your camera and film, you'll want to bring enough food and water to comfortably (and safely) complete your hike and make it back to your car. Comfortable clothing with layers are also encouraged!

For our next Photo Walk event, we'll be doing it a little differently!

The previous Photo Walks have taken place primarily in 'cityscapes' and, as we enter into warmer weather, wouldn't it be nice to expand the scenes a bit?! That is why we will be gathering for the next walk, Saturday May 30th (@ 11am), at Silver Falls State Park, meeting at the South Falls day use area!

Silver Falls State Park is a 1.5 hour drive from the Eugene/Springfield area, and there is a $10 parking fee, so we recommend planning accordingly and potentially carpooling where possible!

Thank you to Caffé Pacori and to everyone who attended last Friday to show support and talk about all things photography, coffee, and life! We couldn't do it without you!

If you weren't able to make it out, but would still like to give the book a looksie, never fear! Copies are still available and can be ordered online via the 'shop' page on our website (eugdarkroom.org)! We have options for shipping or, if you live in the Eugene/Springfield area, local pick-up! (local pick-up option, with no shipping fee, is accessible once you've entered your information)

If you're just finding EDG and are curious about previous work created, the first volume of 'The Light We Keep' (2024) is also available on our website!

TOMORROW IS THE BIG DAY!

Join us from 5-7pm TOMORROW, Friday 17th, at Caffè Pacori for the launch of the EDG Annual Photo Book, The Light We Keep: Volume II!

Copies of the Photo Book will be available to purchase for $30 (cost + $1!). We will also have copies of last year's edition (The Light We Keep: Volume I) available for $25 for those who wish to see work made by community members last year!

If you will be unable to stop by, but still wish to show your support of local artists and the work they are creating, don't fret! Head on over to our website (eugdarkroom.org) where you can see about ordering a copy and having it shipped to you!

This 135 page edition features work in both Black & White and Color from EDG members and members of the broader community alike, and will be available for purchase at cost + $1 ($30 total)!

This is a great (and fun!) way to support your local photographic collective while also supporting a wonderful local business, and we're excited to be able to share this with you! See you there!!

Coming up tomorrow, Saturday April 4th from 1-3pm, is our first-ever BOX CAMERA PHOTO WALK!

It should be a great day to get together with other community members and take some photos!

If you don't have a box camera, don't fret! All cameras are welcome! All you have to do is meet us at the Amphitheater located in Bohemia Park in Cottage Grove!

Coming up this Saturday!! 🎞️📸

NEW EVENT ALERT! 🎞️🎉

Eugene Darkroom Group will be hosting its first-ever Box Camera Photo Walk! The walk is open to everyone! A classic box camera is not required, but we encourage you to bring a camera with the least number of controls: "toy" cameras, Brownies, etc. But of course, all cameras are welcome!

The walk will take place in Cottage Grove on Saturday, April 4th, from 1 to 3 pm. We will meet at the at the amphitheater in Bohemia Park. In case of inclement weather, we will announce any change or cancellation on our website Event Page and our Discord in the "Events" channel.

Very exciting news everyone!!

Eugene Darkroom Group is excited to announce the publication of their newest photo book, The Light We Keep, Volume 2. With works from EDG members as well as the broader community, The Light We Keep clocks in at 135 pages of photographic art in both black and white and color.

Come join us for the Photobook Launch Party on April 17th from 5 to 7PM at Caffè Pacori (255 Wallis St, Suite 3, Eugene). EDG will be selling the book at cost plus a dollar! ($30 total). And if you've never been to Caffè Pacori, it's worth the trip! See you there!
