Eugene Burrito Brigade We're a 501(c)(3) hunger relief nonprofit in Eugene, OR. https://linktr.ee/burritobrigade Burritos are always vegan and free to anyone.

Burrito Brigade's mission is to feed the unhoused and hungry of Oregon through a local network of donors and nonprofit partnerships, while engaging our community in the fight to end hunger. Burrito Brigade works with, accepts donations from, and provides for the public–regardless of ability, race, gender, gender identity, sexuality, sexual orientation, social status, addiction, criminal background, political and religious affiliation or age. There is enough food in Oregon to feed every hungry person, however the excess food is not widely distributed and some don't have the knowledge or resources to access the food that is available. It is our belief that everyone deserves food, no matter what, and that it is one of the most basic human rights. We would love to partner with other local food organizations. Meet the Yam Fam! 🍠🍠🍠

These three sweet potatoes are a little scuffed and lumpy, but they’re as sweet as can be on the inside.

Their ideal home? Rolled into a hot burrito with rice and beans, made by our Weekend Burrito Brigade volunteers every Saturday and Sunday.

We’re expanding into a new space so we can do even more. Thanks to your support, we’ve already funded a new roof and the construction of our commercial kitchen. Now we’re making a final push to finish the project.

Just $50 helps us cross the finish line and gets the Yam Fam one step closer to their forever home. 🏡

That basket? Rescued food. 🧺🌯

Our Waste to Taste program helped stock the basket for the (Im)perfect Food Faceoff, hosted by Waste Wise Lane County and Eugene Waste Prevention.

Two local chefs got ingredients that could easily have been thrown out (ground chicken, cabbage, eggs, heritage corn flour, a baguette, peppers, squash and more) and turned them into restaurant-worthy plates on the clock.

Chicken tikka masala meatballs over jasmine rice. Open face chicken slider with Korean barbecue marinade and kogi coleslaw. All from food someone almost gave up on.

That's what we do every week: turn rescued food into meals for our neighbors.
