We’re honored to be featured in Eugene Weekly's story, “Under the Umbrella,” which takes a closer look at what it means to provide health care for people experiencing homelessness, and why meeting people where they are really matters.

Our Mobile Clinic and Behavioral Health teams work alongside community partners to connect people with medical care, behavioral health services, housing resources, case management, and other support.

The story also shares the experiences of people who remind us why this work matters. As one client put it, after finding care through our Mobile Clinic: “He’s my doctor now.”

We’re grateful to Eugene Weekly for telling this story and to our incredible community partners, staff, and clients who make this work possible every day.

White Bird's End of Life Counseling program supports people and families as they navigate one of life's most difficult transitions.

What makes this program unique is its accessibility. We serve many who are uninsured, underinsured, experiencing homelessness, or otherwise unable to access traditional hospice or counseling services.

Our services include:
◦ Individual end-of-life counseling
◦ Grief counseling and grief support groups
◦ Advance care planning workshops
◦ Medical advocacy and care coordination
◦ Guidance for the emotional, psychosocial, and spiritual challenges that accompany death and dying

Every person deserves the opportunity to approach the end of life with dignity, informed choices, and compassionate support. We're honored to walk alongside our clients and their loved ones during this deeply human journey.

We close out National Health Center Week with gratitude for everyone who makes this work possible.

Thank you to our patients, providers, staff, partners, and supporters for being part of the mission to ensure everyone has access to the healthcare they need. Community Health Centers are built on the belief that quality care should be available to all.

Looking ahead, we're continuing to expand access beyond traditional clinic settings and bring services closer to those we serve. Expanding White Bird's Mobile Medical Clinic is one way we're working to make healthcare more accessible.

Every day, we're grateful to work alongside schools, food banks, local businesses, social service agencies, faith communities, hospitals, behavioral health providers, public health organizations, municipalities, and many other community partners.
