Each year, Peer Support Specialists from ShelterCare and across the country gather at Peerpocalypse! This event is an opportunity to learn from one another about best practices in the field. Another NAMI Lane County NAMIWalks is in the books! Each year, ShelterCare has a team for this event and does the walk together. NAMI provides such important mental health services to many of our participants and the community. Congratulations on another successful fundraiser! As you can see, our staff's favorite part may have been Caesar The No Drama Llama 🦙 We also loved seeing our friends from Thrill The World EUG perform!

Thank you to the Eugene Emeralds and Heritage Bank for hosting ShelterCare as one of the community spotlight nonprofits again this year! Our Sr. Director of Development, Cat, even got to throw the first pitch (and she has quite an arm)! Another one of our favorite parts of the evening was seeing our friends at Thrill The World EUG get to dance on the field for country night🤠💃

We are loving this spontaneous art from a couple of our Birch program participants! They have a weekly house meeting at each group home, where they engage in rapport-building conversations and activities conducive to mental wellness. This week, the staff provided art supplies and just let the participants make whatever they wanted, and these messages are what happened❤️ Hope feels good! Love one another!
