Pack 100 Cub Scouts Eugene

Hi All. This is David Evarts, AOL Den Leader/ Scouter. I've got very big news, for me at least. I have accepted a job offer to do computational biology for the Air Force at Wright-Patterson Air Base near Dayton Ohio. I will be leaving Eugene on December 1st.

Pack 100 will go on, as will the AOL den and all of the Arrow of Light Webelos will be able to cross-over to a Boy Scout Troop as soon as a crossover is held.

It has been a pleasure and a privilege to serve your kids, and a lot of fun. I look forward to hearing how they continue to grow into fine people and examples of the Scout Oath and Law! -David

Congratulations Pack 100 and Troop 100, Eugene, Oregon Trail Council BSA for a successful Scouting for Food. We were unable to get a measurement of the weight, amount or values of food that you collected, but it was a lot. Due to the Boy Scouts leaving flyers in the neighborhood, many houses had bags and boxes of food waiting at their doors for the Cub Scouts to pick up. The Cub Scouts knocking on doors and asking folks if they'd like to donate food received many additional bags from friendly, kind neighbors. They had fun doing it.

You helped make Eugene a nicer place to live, helped make sure people are not without food in our town, did your good turn and honored the Scout oath and Law. Those Cub Scouts who participated have done their service to the community requirement for their citizenship pin or belt loop.

Please share this poster with anyone that in the Eugene/ Springfield area with a boy that might like to join our pack. There's a small mistake on their. Fifth graders are Arrow of Light Cub Scouts, who, in the spring can transition to being a Boy Scout. It's my job this year to have some fun helping some fifth graders to complete all of the requirements to earn their Arrow of Light badge and to be ready to become a Boy Scout, should they choose. We have wonderful kids and a lot of fun and learning.
