Since 1973, Sikh Dharma International has been a 501c(3) nonprofit religious organization whose purpose is to serve & uplift humanity thru the universal teachings of the Sikh Gurus and the path of Sikh Dharma, as shared by Siri Singh Sahib, Yogi Bhajan. The teachings and technology of Sikh Dharma International are found in the Siri Guru Granth Sahib, the writings of the Sikh Gurus and as taught by

the Siri Singh Sahib, Yogi Bhajan, in his unique style. His way of talking and teaching about the path of the Sikh, for the first time in history, made the Sikh faith accessible to people from every background, language and culture of the world.

Today, we commemorate the Gurgaddi of Guru Hargobind Ji, the sixth Sikh Guru. This is the day when the world recognized that sainthood and sovereignty are not two separate paths.

He embraced both Miri and Piri, ensuring that no one who approached him had to choose between their spiritual well-being and their safety. His followers affectionately referred to him as the True Emperor, not out of obligation, but because love speaks for itself.

May we honor the Guru who imparted the lesson that true sovereignty is a gift from God alone.

Today marks 42 years since June 6, 1984, a day that shook the Sikh world to its core. The Akal Takhat was attacked, tens of thousands of Sikhs lost their lives, and a community was left to reckon with something almost incomprehensible.

Through it all, the Siri Singh Sahib held the sangat close. He taught that the martyrdom was not a defeat but a sacrifice — a call from the Guru asking every Khalsa to rise to their identity and live it fully.

And so our sadh sangat globally has answered that call. Every 6th of the month since that day, we have gathered in prayer. Forty-two years without interruption, and counting.

She grew up in France, studied journalism, built a career — and still felt like something was missing.

Then a friend brought her to a yoga class in a garage near Biarritz. One worn cassette tape, a gas heater, and a photo of Guru Ram Das on the wall.

That was 25+ years ago. Today, Avtar Kaur Khalsa is a Kundalini Yoga teacher trainer, Karam Kriya consultant, Sikh Dharma Minister, mother, and one of the strong pillars of the European sangat.

In our latest Sikh Women in Action interview, she talks about what it really means to lead, raising children in the dharma, and the one line from Guru Arjan Dev Ji she keeps coming back to.

Join us for the eighth monthly Kirtan Jam Session on Saturday, June 6! 🎵

Hosted by SDI and 3HO International , these cozy sangat gatherings take place the first Saturday of every month and are a wonderful opportunity to come together in Kirtan.

This month's musicians include Japa Kaur (US/Mexico), Gurprasad Kaur and Kirtan Singh (Hacienda de Guru Ram Das), Fateh Singh (Germany), and Sat Nishan (Chile).

The event is approximately three hours long and open to all. Feel free to join whenever and stay as long as you like, we hope to see you there!

This version of “Let There Be Peace,” sung by the students of Miri Piri Academy in Amritsar, revives a mantra originally shared during the brink of war in 2003. More than two decades later, its message feels just as needed.

Last month, our global community heard this mantra being sung live by the MPA students during the Monthly Kirtan Jam Session. We would love for you to join us for the next gathering.
