Active Minds at Gannon University

Active Minds at Gannon University This is the Gannon University Chapter of Active minds. We do many events on campus, to change the conversation about mental health. http://www.activeminds.org/

Keep a lookout for our PostSecretU event! Active Minds is the nation’s only nonprofit organization dedicated to utilizing the student voice to raise mental health awareness among college students. The organization develops and supports student-run chapters on colleges and university campuses that promote a dialogue around issues of mental health and educate the entire student body about available resources in and around the campus community.

Happy , Gannon! We are encouraging you this week to reflect on the past, and take into perspective how far you have really come. Use this semester as an example: we have a little less than 3 weeks left until finals. Think of all the knowledge you have gained these past weeks, and how much you have grown as a person! Keep up the hard work— you are doing great!

Also, today is the beginning of “The Dread Project” Challenge. To learn more about it, check out our last post!

Happy Wednesday, Gannon family! We are halfway through the week, and you are knocking it out of the park!

We wanted to promote this challenge happening next week called “The Dread Project”. The host, Saleem Reshamwala, will take you through different aspects of dread: what it is, why we feel it, and what we can do to face it.

If you feel like these final few weeks are getting the best of you, or you are simply dreading what is to come (*cough, cough* finals week), then we suggest joining in on this challenge!

Use this link to join the challenge, which starts Monday, November 14th!

Our thoughts and prayers go out to anyone who may be struggling due to the current circumstances on campus.

If you are in need of assistance, please utilize the TimelyCare app. It is free, available 24/7, and provided through Gannon. If you are unsure how it works, you can reach out to us and we will help you get your account squared away.

Reaching out for support and help during difficult times is a sign of strength, not weakness. Always remember that you are not alone 💛
