Unleash The Storm Inside
Date: July 22, 2026

Dream Performing Arts Academy is proud to announce the launch of Helix Winds, a new competitive indoor winds ensemble based in Erie, Pennsylvania.

Helix Winds represents an exciting new chapter for our organization as we continue expanding
opportunities for performers throughout our region. Built on Dream’s commitment to artistic
excellence, education, and community, the ensemble will provide performers with an
environment that challenges them to grow as musicians, performers, and leaders.

We are also excited to announce that Benjamin Kartic will serve as Director of Helix Winds, leading the ensemble into its first competitive season.

Beginning the season, Helix Winds will compete throughout the region in both the Tournament
Indoor Association (TIA) and the Three Rivers Winter Ensemble Association (TRWEA).

Northwestern Pennsylvania has long been home to exceptional marching arts talent. Helix Winds was created to build on that tradition by providing performers with a premier indoor winds
experience centered on collaboration, education, and performance excellence.

This is more than the start of a new ensemble. It's the beginning of a community where
performers are encouraged to challenge themselves, support one another, and create
something extraordinary together.

Over the coming weeks, we'll be sharing more about:
● Educational and audition clinics
● Our inaugural production
● Our instructional and design team
● Audition information and membership opportunities

If you're ready to be part of something new, we invite you to follow our journey as Helix Winds
begins its inaugural season.

Empower. Create. Achieve.
