Today’s educational event featured wines from the Republic of Georgia and the ancient qvevri winemaking method. Members shared delicious ethnic foods from the Republic of Georgia. Another great evening with friends!

Members enjoyed wine tasting and charcuterie from Courtyard Winery last evening. Justin, the winemaker, took the group on a backroom tour and shared 6 dry wines made from grapes grown right here in the Lake Erie region. Many thanks to Courtney from Courtyard Winery for working with us to make this event happen. Everyone had a great time learning about the wines and the winemaking process.

It was a beautiful afternoon for a wine and food pairing event. The event was hosted by Lori & Bob at their home and the theme was Sweethearts & Snowflakes. Everyone brought a bottle of wine for a food pairing and each couple took a bottle of wine home. Each couple presented information about the wine and why they paired it with the food they brought. The wine and food pairings were amazing!
