At EARS, we believe that some of life's greatest moments come from the simplest acts of kindness.

Last week, Claude experienced a day he won't forget! Knowing how much Claude loves classic cars, Mark Zimmerman generously took time out of his day to make one of Claude's wishes come true by giving him a ride in his beautiful 1953 Chevy Bel Air.

Claude had no idea this surprise was coming, and his reaction was absolutely priceless! The two enjoyed a long, relaxing drive through the countryside before stopping at Applebee's for lunch.

Experiences like these remind us how meaningful community connections can be. A special thank you to Mark Zimmerman for sharing his time, his passion, and his classic car to create such a memorable day for Claude. Your kindness made a lasting impact and brought so much joy.

Our Thrive Academy class recently created this fun commercial after learning about personal hygiene and why it is so important… not only for our health, but also in the workplace!

From handwashing and deodorant to clean clothes and daily routines, these skills help build confidence, independence, and professionalism.

We love finding creative ways to make learning fun and meaningful for our individuals!

Last week, Gary had the incredible opportunity to ride in an 18 wheeler… something he has always dreamed about! A huge thank you to Clifford Sauder and Sauder’s Trucking LLC for making this unforgettable experience possible.

The smiles, excitement, and joy from this special day meant so much to all of us. We are incredibly grateful for community members and businesses who take the time to create meaningful moments like these for the individuals we support. 💙

What an incredible blessing this past weekend was! During Impact PA Day, a wonderful group of volunteers from LCBC Church chose EARS Inc. for their service project, and we could not be more grateful.

Their team spent the day detailing our vans and work vehicles, helping them look refreshed, clean, and ready to continue serving our individuals throughout the community. These vehicles play such an important role in the daily lives of the individuals we support, and this act of kindness truly made a difference.

Impact PA Day is all about serving local communities, building connections, and showing love through action, and LCBC absolutely did that for us. We are so thankful for their time, hard work, generosity, and heart for serving others.

Thank you, LCBC volunteers, for making such a meaningful impact at EARS! 💙

Food prep and cooking classes are in full swing! 🍴🥗

This week, we made fresh salads topped with chicken tenders. From washing and slicing the vegetables to preparing the chicken in the oven, everyone practiced a variety of important cooking and kitchen safety skills.

These hands-on activities help build independence, confidence, teamwork, and healthy habits all while having fun together! Oh and let’s not forget the best part, eating it when we are finished making it!

We’re so thankful for the thoughtful gesture from our administrators. Feeling appreciated makes a big difference, and it’s moments like these that remind us how lucky we are to be part of such a supportive team.
