Coffee County Habitat for Humanity is an ecumenical Christian housing Program. We build quality, energy efficient homes in partnership with low income families who live in substandard or otherwise unsuitable conditions and who don't qualify for any other type of home loan. habitat houses are built mainly by volunteers who work along with selected families in the building of their home. Once homes

are finished, they are sold to the partner families at no profit with a no-interest mortgage. House mortgage payments go into an account that is used to build more Habitat houses. Coffee County Habitat for Humanity receives no government funds and is not a United Way agency. Support is generated entirely by donations from businesses, churches, civic groups and individuals. While Habitat for Humanity International was founded by Millard and Linda Fuller in Americus, Georgia in 1976, the Coffee County Affiliate was formed in 1999. Since funded completely by donations, houses can only be built as land and money become available. We are currently only able to build two or three houses per year. Because we are a volunteer organization there is no guaranteed time frame in which an applicant's home will completed.

Another wonderful father daughter dance was held on Friday night!

Looking back on 2025 😉

What have we been up to in Coffee County?

Thru ARPA, we have had 11 different repair projects to help 8 different partner families totaling $40,000.

In addition to the ARPA project, we have helped 15 different families to get new roofs under the Strengthen Alabama Homes FORTIFIED Roofing grant program!

Building homes for qualified families is a VERY important part of what we do here locally but not everything.

Hoping to build our next home in 2026!! We will keep you posted 😉
