Pro Skills Basketball (PSB) is Denver's professional youth basketball organization, offering AAU/Club Teams, Camps, Clinics, and more to boys and girls of all ages and skill levels! Youth basketball is often disorganized, focused solely on winning, and generally, frustrating, but at Pro Skills Basketball, our mission is to change that culture. We strive to provide a more professional experience for parents, players and coaches—one focused on organized communication, fun, mutual respect, and personal growth—on and off the court. Our Club Teams are instructed by trained & certified coaches who, through our comprehensive player development program and F.O.C.U.S core values (Fun, Overcome, Compete, Unity, Self-Improvement), prepare players for the next level of their basketball careers while also teaching them life lessons that will lead to success off the court as well.

COACH OF THE MONTH: THOMAS GRAY

Coach Gray has brought so much to PSB Denver, and his impact reaches far beyond the team he coaches.

Whether he’s stepping in wherever help is needed, creating thoughtful practice plans, or developing coaching guides to support our staff, Gray consistently gives his time and effort to make our entire program better.

And the energy he brings when he walks into the gym? UNMATCHED! His enthusiasm is contagious, and he brings a level of care that helps players feel encouraged, challenged, and excited to get to work.

What we appreciate most is his willingness to show up for others. The extra preparation, the helping hand, and the care he puts into coaching all matter. Those efforts build confidence in our players and strengthen the people around him.

⭐️ Girls Player of the Month: Grace Patterson! ⭐️

Grace has been with PSB since day one, and watching her grow into the player and teammate she is today has been so special. Now on our 8th Elite Mather team, she has become someone who is hard to take off the court because of her effort, her energy, and the way she lifts up everyone around her.

She is constantly cheering on her teammates, playing as hard as she can, and doing it all with a smile. There are moments when Grace makes an incredible play, and she just smiles like it’s another day in the gym. We see those moments, Grace, and we hope you know how much you are capable of. 💙

Grace embodies the PSB way through how she competes, supports her team, and carries herself. We are so proud of her growth and grateful to have been part of her journey from the beginning. There is so much ahead for you, Grace. Keep playing hard and being yourself!

🌟 BOYS PLAYER OF THE MONTH 🌟

Shoutout to JJ Steiner from our 15U Elite Goodrich team! 👏

During a game, JJ pulled me aside and asked, “How can I get my team going? Our energy is low, and we need a boost.”

That moment says a lot about JJ. He recognized what his teammates needed and took responsibility for helping them. Not many kids step up and take on that leadership role.

JJ consistently brings EGB’s (Energy Given Behaviors). He’s high-fiving teammates, cheering them on, and checking in when someone is having a tough moment. Those little things matter, and he understands how much they can lift a team.

The way he carries himself and communicates with coaches and teammates sets him apart. He wants to be great, and his actions show he wants those around him to be great, too.

JJ has a bright future ahead, and I can’t wait to see what the next four years at Arapahoe hold for him. Keep being you, JJ! JJ Steiner

Max brings qualities to a team that not many players can: great energy, relentless effort, and a truly coachable attitude. Simply put, not many players will outwork him.

He rarely makes mistakes on the court, but when he does, he immediately moves on with a next play mentality. Max walks into the gym with a smile and leaves with that same smile.

Madison brings an incredible combination of charisma and competitiveness every time she steps on the court. Her energy is contagious, and she has a natural ability to bring her teammates together.

For the driveway shooting sessions that ran past dinner. The rebounds you grabbed for hours without complaining. The post-game car rides where you knew when to talk and when to just let the music play. The lessons that had nothing to do with basketball and everything to do with becoming a good person.
