*During the event, if you believe that your card is a winner, "raise your hand" within the Zoom meeting. Here is a link to an article that might help: https://www.republicworld.com/technology-news/apps/where-is-the-raise-hand-feature-in-zoom-on-pc-and-mobile.html
*Similar to the live version of BINGO, we will stop and ask that you hold the card up to your camera to confirm.
*Arrangements will be made to provide BINGO, raffle and 50/50 raffle winners their prizes after the event.

We are unfortunately announcing that our planned fundraiser(s) for Friday, 11/6 and Friday, 11/13 are temporarily being cancelled.

We were all looking forward to seeing everyone and had everything set to hold our thrice postponed (due to state mandates) event in the upcoming weeks.

Per the State of Connecticut's recent rollback of Phase 3 to Phase 2.1 (per Governor Lamont) we can no longer, effective this Friday, have more than 25 people at an event indoors.

We, however, are determined to find a way to enjoy this fundraiser event. We want to make sure this event occurs so we are looking at the potential for doing as planned in the American Legion hall .or if needed, virtually (we are currently looking into this options).

We are appreciate your support over the year and for the generous ticket donations that provided us the fiscal ability (along with registration fees and sponsorships) to have our summer 2020 season.

Your patience and understanding during these challenging times are greatly appreciated.

As many of you may have heard that the National American Legion Baseball has taken a full hiatus for 2020. This means that there will be no American Legion baseball program for Enfield, Connecticut or the US until at least 2021. In addition, due to the current parameters, even in the first phase of re-opening CT has not stipulated when/if youth sports can get back on the fields.

What does this mean? It’s not as hopeless as it may sound for those players that have been planning on playing Legion baseball for Enfield over the last several months. Recently Governor Lamont announced that certain youth sports, specifically including baseball, would be allowed to start playing on June 20th as part of his plan to safely reopen the state.

In addition, a new league has been created (supported by a dozen folks with 300 combined years of American Legion coaching and administrative experience). The league is CT Elite Baseball Association, LLC (aka CEBA). For continuity going into 2021, we will generally follow all the key American Legion Rules.

This league will provide a place for those legion teams to play games this summer (and potentially the fall). As we (and the league) await final word and guidance from the Governor’s office for the return to the field on June 20th, our Enfield program (19U, 17U and 15U teams) is making plans (all of which are very dependent on the guidelines/restrictions from the Governor).

Understandably this is a lot to digest. We want to thank all of you for your patience and understanding as we work toward a competitive baseball season in a safe and healthy environment. While we plan on and believe we are closer to a summer season in the new league, we await word from the Governor’s office for further restrictions and are hopeful that they will enable us to get on the field and play the great game of baseball!
