Skatejam Collaborative is a Non For Profit Event Organization Series). The purpose of the O.T.S.

Founded and launched in early 2011, Skatejam Collaborative™ is a Non Profit Organization that structures, coordinates, & hosts a skateboarding event series called Open Talent Showcase Series (O.T.S. Series is to provide at risk youth a free access, open format, monthly event series that finds and develops the top unnoticed, excelling skateboarders from impacted communities by giving them the oppor

tunity to showcase their skills for a chance to receive a position on our competitive roster which provides all expenses paid access to skateboardings competitive circuit. This is coupled with management (DDMG) of media portfolios, sponsorships & endorsement contracts, and competitive circuit schedules. This structure is in direct correlation to the majority of the demographic of skateboarders, who do not come from affluent backgrounds. For many, regardless of their skill level, the opportunity to make skateboarding a reasonable career path is not tangible, mainly due to their family financial situations and conditions of living. SC x DDMG aims to eliminate that factor, and make skateboarding not just accessible , but pursuable to all, regardless of background or lifestyle

This is not just skateboarding, this is life , this is culture, this is the dichotomy of our society and everything that binds us together and pulls us apart all at the same time
There are 1440 minutes in a day , If we consciously use each to be the positive change we want to see in the world , then together we are the catalyst to our own collective future
This is , this is our superlative gratitude for skateboarding , because like so many of my brothers and sisters out here, skateboarding saved our life , We are humbled to have the opportunity that we have to give , We will make this world a better place to live with what we love to do , because as far as we see it , that is what life is , thank you skateboarding, we love you 🌍💥🚀

Sun Diego Boardshops x Vans Event #3 at Melba Bishop was a hot one! Not only with the weather , but Rahn Staylit was on fire for the Pro/AM Division. Looking forward to seeing the hard work culminate. Tomorrow is THE LAST STOP OF 2K17 AM SLAM SERIES! looking forward to seeing everyone at Mission Beaches Belmont Park!On site will be a full course built & SC x DDMG is heavy on scene 10am SEE YOU THERE!!!

Came out firing! Event #2 of the Sun Diego Boardshops Series was at PQ Skatepark and our guys where on fire! Everyone made finals in all divisions again, and a S/O to William Moye for taking the podium again in 14-16 division!

Big thanks again to Sun Diego Boardshops Vans and all the other participating sponsors for making this happen can't wait for the next one!

Event #1 of the 2017 Sun Diego Boardshops AM SLAM Skate Series kicked off the contest season on June 24 at Academy Skatepark in Vista , CA

Next contest is THIS SATURDAY JULY 15TH @ PQ Skatepark and ALL our divisions will be competing at this event with mind-blowing talent in every age group. The OG squad will be heavy on scene early as well as some new killers just added to the roster this season, come check it out!

Even though the odds (weather) where agains us we still managed to have some fun at our home base Encinitas Skate Plaza. Some of our South & North County divisions came together to shred and help us get our lighting rigs adjusted for our Open Talent Showcase series to come later this month. No matter rain or shine, light or dark, these killers crush everything take a look! & can't forget to thank all the new faces for coming out even under unfavorable conditions, great seeing everyone and we look forward to next time, posting for dates and schedule next week!

This past weekend was the Final Event Stop of the Sun Diego Boardshops X Vans 2016 Competitive Series at the only and only Belmont Park in Mission Beach! Our Comp Squad solidified their place in the 2k16 Season taking podiums in ALL AGE DIVISIONS! Big S/O and congrats to Juan Martinez in u13 Division taking 2nd! Hype beast William Moye took 3rd for Overall ranking in 14-16 division! Cash Out (Rahn Handcox) brought home 3rd Overall Ranking in the 17+ division! Thats a wrap for this season but not to worry because as soon as the Comp Season is over the OTS Series BEGINS! Couldnt ask for a better set than that so keep your eyes pealed for the first OTS Series listing coming at you from the world famous POODS PARK (Encinitas Skate Plaza) Thanks again to Hellaclips , BONES WHEELS Bones Bearings , Powell-Peralta , Stance , GoPro , Electric Family TEC DECK , Osiris Shoes Arcade Belts , Volcom , Element , etnies Nixon , Oakley , Reef , O'Neill , Skate & so many more for sponsoring the best competition series around!
