It’s day 6 of Burn Awareness Week 💛
Today, we want to take a moment to honor the remarkable person behind the creation of JLF, Julian Diaz. Julian’s birthday falls during Burn Awareness Week, and today he would have been 20 years old. As we remember Julian, we reflect on his fearlessness, selflessness, bravery, and his compassion and kindness toward all—qualities that continue to inspire us every day. Through the Julian Diaz Legacy Foundation, we strive to carry forward his legacy by supporting those affected by burn injuries and instilling the strength and courage he demonstrated daily.

Julian was truly a light in so many lives. If you were lucky enough to know him, you know just how funny, compassionate, and resilient he was. Julian’s memory will never fade; he will always remain in our hearts. We are committed to sharing his story to ensure his impact continues to inspire others. We love you and miss you beyond words, Julian, and we know you would be so proud of the work we are doing to help others. You’re forever our superhero 💙🫂⚡️

✨ Hello everyone! We have some new faces here, so we wanted to take a moment to reintroduce ourselves. ✨

We are Julian’s Legacy Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization created in honor of Julian Diaz, who tragically passed away from burn injuries in August of last year.

Our mission is to promote fire safety and burn prevention education in hopes of reducing tragic and avoidable incidents, while supporting burn survivors and their families—whether that be financially, through toy gift boxes for pediatric patients, or care packages for families spending time with their loved ones in the burn unit. Through this work, we honor Julian by instilling his strength and bravery in everything we do.
