ECA Emerson Community Alliance - Formerly was SAGE

ECA Emerson Community Alliance - Formerly was SAGE ECA (formerly known as SAGE Substance Awareness Group Emerson) is an organization for support & providing information regarding mental & physical health. Sr.

The Emerson Community Alliance (ECA) was formerly known as the Substance Awareness Group of Emerson (SAGE). The name was changed as not to associate the group solely with substance awareness. One of the primary goals of the Emerson Community Alliance (ECA) is to help all those in our town dealing with any type of addictive, social or mental problem. Underage drinking, drug use, alcohol abuse, ment

al illnesses, bullying, violence, addictions of all types, and much more are happening right now in our neighborhood. Even if you are not directly affected then most possibly your friends or their children are and need our help. ECA organizes and implements various functions, programs, and services. These are designed to inform, educate and provide support for the physical and mental health of our children, teens, and adults in our community as well as those from other communities. It has continually been proven that isolating and being alone in the dark with your problems will never make them go away. Usually things get worse and lead to additional problems such as addictions, depression, violence and suicide. Anyone should feel totally free to contact us without hesitation regardless if child or adult, student or parent, family or friend and either in your home or another. Everything shared can be kept totally confidential so everyone involved will remain anonymous. Many of us have dealt with one or more of these problems and personally have some experience. Contact us if you have even a little experience dealing with any of these issues that could possibly help others. ‘We will not regret the past nor wish to shut the door on it’ is a very wise saying. We have monthly meetings on the second Tuesday of every month in the Media Center of Emerson Jr. High School at 3 pm. Please help us in any way to be an active part of our group working collaboratively to build a better community!
