We couldn't let this day pass without honoring JaKhai on what would have been his 5th birthday. 🎂 Five years old. What a milestone to hold in our hearts. His mom Ashley, president of Just Encourage Joy, carries his light forward every single day. We love you, JaKhai. You are missed more than words can describe!

🎉💙 As National Nurses Week 2026 comes to a close, we wanted to end it with a little extra love! This morning, we had the joy of dropping off 15 nurse appreciation bins filled with goodies to the incredible pediatric nursing teams at University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital and Cleveland Clinic Children's. 🎁

Nurses are truly angels on earth. They advocate for our children, provide comfort to worried families, break down complex medical terminology into words we can understand, and somehow manage to bring a little light into what can be the hardest season of a family's life.

To every nurse reading this — YOU are making a difference. Your dedication, compassion, and strength do not go unnoticed. We see you, we appreciate you, and we simply could not do this without you. ❤️

Huge THANK YOU to Good Neighbor Thrift Shop for supporting our mission!

Mission Monday: We are happy to report this past week we presented a check to Ashley Drummond, the President of Just Encourage Joy. This local non profit was formed by a group of mothers who lost their children and came together to help support families who have also lost their children or are dealing with life limiting illnesses to help them find joy in the hardest of times. Just Encourage Joy offers support for families while they endure long stays in the hospitals as well as get away weekends for those needing to recharge or fellowship with others after a loss. Our donation will sponsor one of these weekends.

It was an honor to meet Ashley and hear the amazing work she is doing. As always, we could not do any of this without our amazing shoppers, donors and volunteers. Each donation, each purchase, each hour spent at our shop equals helping those that need it the most. Thank you all for supporting our mission!
