There are moments when you realize how refreshing it is to simply slow down, laugh with people you love, worship and let your soul breathe. But then there’s watching your FRIEND DO PUSH-UPS ON STAGE WITH CANDACE CAMERON BURE! I was behind the camera making sure we had PROOF☺️we ate amazing FOOD! We had burgers, fries, ice cream, pizza and then chips and cheso from Kerby Lane. Everything was so good! We shopped, laughed, watched a little wrestling, and most importantly, worshipped together today at their church here in Austin.

And that part? Beautiful.

So grateful for this time with my best friend and her husband. Friendships like this are such a gift from God. 🥹❤️

Texas Sun, you’ve been good to me.

Now somebody please roll me home after all the food!

Homeschooling isn’t always easy. Some days are productive and beautiful. Other days involve distractions, frustration, basketball breaks, and wondering if anyone actually learned anything. But through all of it, I’m reminded that education is about so much more than checking boxes. It’s about knowing my son. It’s about discovering how he learns. It’s about encouraging his gifts.
It’s about teaching him to think, to work hard, to persevere, to love God, and to become the young man he was created to be.

And somewhere along the way, I know I’ll blink and 9th grade will be a memory.

So I’m choosing to slow down and enjoy this season.

The books. The lessons. The basketball. The laughter. The hard days. The breakthroughs. The ordinary moments that I know I’ll one day wish I could have back.

Lord, help me steward these years well. Give me patience when I’m tired, wisdom when I don’t know what to do, and the ability to see beyond grades and assignments into the heart of the boy sitting across from me.

Here we go, Sebastian. ❤️
