Today in branch history we look back to past branch president Warren Ingham (1924-2011).
Warren enlisted in the Army Air Corp December 1942, served as an Aerial Gunner on the B-17" Flying Fortress" as Ball Turret Gunner, his rank was that of Staff Sergeant. He received two Presidential Citations, Four Air Medals, Distinguished Flying Cross, European-African-Middle Eastern Medal with four Bronze Stars. Victory Medal World War II, and Conspicuous Service Medal from New York State and the Certificate of Recognition, Liberation of France. He was a City Letter Carrier in Elmira, NY for 31 years, President Branch 21 National Association of Letter Carriers 21 years, Secretary New York State Association of Letter Carriers four years, Local Business Agent for the National Association of Letter Carriers, and Union Advocate for Arbitration National Association of Letter Carriers. Below is a award for the “Lucky Bastard Club” that the branch has in its history section. We thank Warren for his dedication to his country and to his union.
