The Elma Game Club has made the decision to cancel the Annual Fishing Derby at Vance Creek Park in light of the current coronavirus situation.

Kind of last minute but we wanted to reach out to our followers and see if any adults, or strong teens, would be interested in helping to move 600+ fish this evening for the fishing derby in the morning. We are meeting at 4pm at Satsop Springs off Beerbower road. If you are interested come ahead but be sure to bring waders! 😊 Please let us know if you have any questions. The 2019 Elma Game Club Annual Fishing Derby is Saturday, April 27th at Vance Creek Park in Elma. As usual, you can start fishing at daylight and final weigh in is 10am, though we encourage you to weigh in earlier to prevent a traffic jam. No registration is required. Everyone who weighs in will get a prize. Regulations were changed slightly so this pond is now open for fishing year round. We stocked the lake with fish right before spring break and we are going to be stocking the lake again the night before the derby. Hopefully there will be good times with lots of fish caught! =D

We will be moving fish Sunday morning the 19th at 8:00 am from satsop springs to the Elma kids pond. Volunteers are very welcome to help. Bring waders so you don't get wet. Post any questions on here and we will respond as soon as we can.
