Happy National Nurses Week to the incredible nurses who show up every single day with compassion, strength, and resilience. đź’š

From May 6–12, we celebrate the men and women who care for others during some of life’s hardest and most vulnerable moments. Whether it’s holding a hand during uncertainty, advocating for a patient, comforting a family, or responding in moments of crisis, nursing is so much more than a profession — it’s a calling.

As an emergency nurse, I’ve seen firsthand the power of teamwork, kindness, and dedication in healthcare. I’m endlessly proud to stand beside so many amazing nurses who continue to make a difference in their communities every day.

This week, take a moment to thank a nurse who has impacted your life. Your appreciation means more than you know. ✨💚

Happy Nurses Week to all of my fellow nurses — thank you for the care, heart, and sacrifice you give to others every day. 🩺💚

May is Mental Health Awareness Month đź’š

Mental health matters just as much as physical health, and taking care of ourselves and each other can make a lasting difference. Whether it’s making time for self-care, managing stress in healthy ways, staying connected with loved ones, or reaching out for support when needed — every small step matters.

As part of Crown C.A.R.E.S. (Creating A Respectful Environment in Society), I’m proud to help promote kindness, compassion, and emotional well-being in our communities. Remember: asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness.

Take a moment today to check in on yourself… and someone you care about. 💚✨

Community Spotlight - The Cinderella Project

Last weekend, I had the honor of volunteering with the Cinderella Project of Maine — helping make prom dreams come true for local teens. From organizing dresses to helping girls find the one that made them feel beautiful and confident, every moment was a reminder that kindness can change someone’s whole day.

Prom should be a time of joy, excitement, and feeling special, and I’m so grateful to have played a small part in creating that magic. There’s nothing better than seeing smiles, confidence bloom, and knowing these young women will walk into prom feeling like royalty. ✨👗👑

Thank you to everyone who makes this incredible mission possible. Together, we’re proving that every girl deserves her fairytale moment.

Strong women aren’t built overnight—they’re built through consistency, discipline, and self-respect. 👑

For me, fitness isn’t about being the smallest in the room—it’s about being strong enough to serve my community, energized enough to chase my goals, and healthy enough to show up as the best version of myself every day. Working out keeps my body strong, while nourishing foods keep my mind focused and my spirit fueled.

Health is not punishment—it’s a privilege. Every workout is gratitude in motion, and every healthy meal is an investment in your future.

✨ One of my favorite easy meals: Lemon Herb Salmon Bowl ✨
• 1 salmon fillet
• Olive oil
• Lemon juice
• Garlic powder
• Salt & pepper
• Roasted broccoli
• Brown rice or quinoa
• Avocado slices (optional!)

Season salmon with olive oil, lemon, garlic, salt, and pepper. Bake at 400°F for 12–15 minutes. Serve over rice or quinoa with roasted broccoli and avocado. Healthy, delicious, and packed with protein and heart-healthy omega-3s!

Remember: you don’t have to be perfect—just consistent. Small healthy choices every day create a strong, confident future. 💙

A little late, but better late than never!

April 16th was National Volunteer Day, and my heart is so full thinking about the places and people who have made this year so meaningful đź’™

From spending time at the Penobscot Marine Museum, to helping girls find their dream dresses as a “fairy godmother” with the Cinderella Project of Maine, to supporting families through fundraising for Ronald McDonald House Charities… every moment has been a reminder that small acts of kindness create lasting impact.

Volunteering isn’t just about giving time—it’s about showing up, lifting others up, and building the kind of community we all deserve.

If you’ve ever thought about volunteering, this is your sign!

April is Child Abuse Prevention Month in Maine đź’™

Last week, I had the opportunity—through my journey as Mrs. Coastal Maine—to volunteer with Waldo CAP, helping children create pinwheels and enjoy story time together. It was such a simple, joyful experience, but also a powerful reminder of what this month represents.

Pinwheels symbolize the happiness and imagination of childhood, but they also stand for something deeper—when children are surrounded by love, support, and stability, they are able to truly thrive. Prevention starts early by strengthening families, building connections, and creating safe environments where kids feel valued and protected.

I’m so grateful to be part of a community that is committed to supporting families and protecting our children. 💙

Join me in raising awareness by wearing blue on April 10th and supporting the efforts happening right here in Maine. Together, we can make a difference.

April is Autism Acceptance Month đź’™

This is more than awareness for me—it’s personal.

I was diagnosed with autism at 23. Before that, I grew up feeling like something was wrong with me. I didn’t always understand why things felt harder, why I experienced the world differently, or why I had to work so hard to fit into spaces that didn’t always feel made for me.

Getting that diagnosis didn’t change who I was—but it changed how I understood myself. It gave me language, clarity, and, most importantly, permission to stop seeing myself as “less” and start seeing myself as different in a way that has value.

Autism has shaped how I see the world, how I connect with others, and how I show up in every role I hold—whether that’s as a nurse, a first responder, or Mrs. Coastal Maine. It’s given me a deep sense of empathy, a different way of thinking, and a strong voice for those who may not always feel heard.

For a long time, I felt like I had to adapt to fit the world around me. Now, I understand that the world should make space for all of us.

Acceptance means listening.
Acceptance means inclusion.
Acceptance means valuing people exactly as they are.

Through Crown C.A.R.E.S., I am committed to creating spaces where individuals feel safe, supported, and celebrated.

Different doesn’t mean less. It means human.
