Saving Animals Southern Style Rescue & Sanctuary It’s all about improving the life of dogs in our area! We adore these creatures!! Together we can! There are far too many animals being abused and neglected.

We are a 501c3 rescue with a mission to improve the lives of animals in our area thru adoptions and community outreach. We can all do our part. While we can't fix everything right away, we will do our best to help as many as we can. We are not new to rescue...this journal started a decade ago. And this rescue is our chosen direction. We are a foster based rescue and generally have a minimum of 15

adults dogs and often a litter of puppies. We generally try to work with rescues in the northern states to get puppies to an area where they can live their best live. Everyone knows there is no shortage of puppies in SC, a state that has no laws to "encourage" responsible pet ownership. We have a particular love the older tossed away or abandoned dogs. Many of these you will find in a hospice foster so they can live out the rest of their lives knowing they are loved and treasured. Our community outreach includes helping those who have a pet but can't afford the cost of spay or neuter. And often not the annual vaccines either. We also provide food if needed. This is something that often hits our older senior citizens. Their income is limited but the love for their pets is often the only thing they have to hold onto. And remember, while you can't do everything....everyone can do something. Step up and maybe the most important thing is SPEAK OUT! Speak out to government officials telling them you demand better laws....and you also demand that the laws in place are followed ant those that abuse the animals are punished to the full extent of the laws. Speak up for the abused animals that you see. Never turn a blind eye. Together we can!!

Happy Mothers Day all you beautiful people! Olivia is glad her babies are doing so well! Look at this beautiful "clone" of Olivia...that is her #8 pup Rieka and at almost 4 month already weighs 43.8 lbs. All pups are getting sooo big!

“This a small female dog I that I saw peeping out of a dirty, steep ditch along a two lane back country highway today.
I stopped the car and turned around, when I got out of my car she came right out to me. I have pet snacks and water in my car for feral cats I feed near work. She was famished and thirsty and ate as I drove the 30 minutes home.

This baby is so affectionate and sweet. I put that collar on her. I was happy to do this one small thing to help out our troubled world today🐕”

Finder can’t keep her. If the owner is not found we need a foster.

We ran across this video. Margaret got her start at Orangeburg County Animal Control and her compassion was very evident from the beginning. Dana Lang saw it too. Now Margaret has an angel on her shoulder.

We love that Margaret fils these video. It should serve as inspiration to others. Animals can read people. Watch and and you will understand what we mean.

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Brandy's mother. Due to many inquiries, we would like to share information regarding the visitation and funeral services that will take place. We gratefully acknowledge the thoughts, prayers, and support extended to Brandy and her family during this difficult period. Debbie dearly loved her family and there are so many good memories to remember and share.
