bal movement developed by the UK's Alzheimer's Foundation. The goal is to broaden community awareness on how to better understand and support people with dementia. Information sessions involve a one-hour presentation, held both virtually or in person, Attendees learn five key messages about living with dementia through activities and discussion. They are encouraged to use the knowledge to engage in a practical action (no matter how great or small) that can help someone living with dementia in the community. The presentations enable participants to describe and recognize common dementia types; explain how to communicate effectively with people with dementia; learn the five key messages, and make a personal commitment to perform a practical action for someone with dementia.
