FIRE WEATHER FORECAST FOR LOWER KITTITAS COUNTY

The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning for Lower Kittitas County today and tomorrow, Tuesday-Wednesday 6/16-17.

A Red Flag warning indicates a combination of wind, warm temperatures, and low humidity that has the potential to cause fire to spread rapidly.

The County Fire Marshall reminds everyone that Kittitas County Code 20.07.030 forbids open burning any time there are wind gusts over 10 miles per hour. We're there today and we'll be there tomorrow.

Please help protect our county by refraining from unlawful burning or any other fire-hazardous activity in current conditions.
