We appreciate Fellows Coffee and the very talented & amazing Jeberleco artist Jami for hosting this event. Domestic Violence awareness month isn’t just about raising awareness to communities. It’s about helping victims and survivors feel supported. These events fill our buckets with positivity which empowers us to continue the work in advocacy. Thank you for all you do.

Join us for a special fundraiser at Fellows this month! We’re coming together to raise support and awareness for the Kedish House— in partnership with Jeberleco we welcome you to spend your afternoon with us on Sunday, October 26th for some good coffee, conversation and creativity! 🎨🖌️☕️

Each ticket includes your art materials, a drink of your choice, and supports the Kedish House through a donation. If you feel inclined to give more you’ll have the chance to do so during the event! 💜

What is missing from the conversation on abuse and ending relationships is the honest reality of grief. Just because someone hurt you doesn’t mean you don’t miss them. The loss of a bad relationship is still a loss. With this loss comes grief: a conflicting, exhausting, ugly grief.
The stages of grief are cyclical. This is true of all grief but especially important to keep in mind when you’re grieving an abusive relationship. Denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance will come and go. Sometimes several times a day. There’s nothing wrong with you if you feel like you’ve reached acceptance and then suddenly find yourself crying out of nowhere.
We are here to walk through the trenches with you.

It’s a GREAT day to lower your taxable income! Make a tax deductible contribution to your favorite non profit organizations on this last day of 2024😊 (hopefully we are one of them 😉)!

As we finish up our 40th year (yes, FORTIETH) we are reminded of the generosity and kindness within our communities and those that send donations from afar. Although there have been many changes across four decades, funding has remained the same as Kedish House operates solely on donations, fundraising and grants. We do what we do because of you. Proudly serving the counties of Dickey, LaMoure, McIntosh, Logan & Sargent counties since 1984!

Thank you for all of the generous donations this holiday season. We have provided several families with a hand UP while they work hard to navigate toward a brighter future.
Although there are difficult days, we are reminded that the beauty in our communities is abundant. A special thank you to those that do not reside in our service area but continue to support with donations and angel tree gifts.

Yesterday I delivered some gifts purchased from the angel trees ornaments. Our communities have blessed our families abundantly and I can’t thank you enough. This has been a beautiful experience and sometimes I can’t believe it’s my
job to spread your kindness ❤️
One of my clients sent me a message and gave me permission to share. All services are confidential, so that is still preserved. I have many more to deliver!
Kedish House offers a hand up to victims (& their families) in many different ways and it’s made possible because of your generous, heart felt donations. The victims and their families feel an abundance of support because of you all.
I would tag each one of you 💜 and although I know you didn’t do this for the recognition, please drop a holiday Gif if you were one of our angels this year.

This is the last week to purchase gifts for our special angels! We have received a wonderful response so far. Items can be brought (unwrapped) to Dakota Plains Credit Union in Ellendale or Edgeley or stop by the Kedish House office. Thank you to all the donors!

We are excited to announce the addition of Melanie Filbert to the staff at Kedish House! Melanie started her part time duties as our bookkeeper on November 18th. As owner of an accounting business, she brings significant experience and education that will continue empowering the program to meet the needs of our clients. Melanie and her son, Hunter live in Kulm where she operates her business. We are so happy to have you, Melanie!

Such a wonderful group of students 💜 they not only made our ornaments for the angel tree, they hosted a fundraiser and purchased all these gifts for our angels. Thank you for coming and learning about the resources we offer and how we help victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.
