Encompass Respite Care is growing, and we're looking for compassionate teens and adults who want to make a real difference in the lives of local families raising children with special needs.

Whether you need service hours, want hands-on experience working with children, or simply have a heart for serving your community, we'd love to have you!

No experience is necessary—we'll provide the training! Volunteers help create a safe, fun, and supportive environment where children can thrive while giving their caregivers a much-needed break.

Because of their support, we are able to continue providing a safe, welcoming space where children with special needs, those in foster or kinship care, and their siblings can thrive, while giving caregivers the opportunity to rest and recharge.

🩵 Interested in Becoming a Respite Caregiver Volunteer with Encompass Respite Care? 💜

Do you have a heart for serving children with special needs and supporting families in our community?

At Encompass Respite Care, our volunteer caregivers provide safe, compassionate, and structured respite for families who deeply need it. Because of the level of care we provide, our volunteers are held to high standards — and we’re proud of that.

This is not a casual volunteer role. Our caregivers are trusted with the well-being of children and teens, and we treat this position with the professionalism it deserves.

✨ Volunteer Requirements:
• Complete an application and in-person interview
• Pass a background check
• Obtain (or be willing to obtain):
– CPR/First Aid Certification
– Mandated Reporter Training
– Respite Provider Training
• Attend orientation and ongoing training
• Commit to approximately 5–10 hours per month of scheduled respite sessions

✨ What You’ll Gain:
💛 Meaningful experience serving families of children with special needs
💛 Hands-on training and professional development
💛 Service hours (ideal for students pursuing healthcare, education, or social services!)
💛 The opportunity to be part of a mission providing crucial support to families
