The Silver State Stampede would like to thank all of those who participated in and attended the Elko County 4th of July Celebration Parade today. We were honored to host the parade and will continue to do so for many years to come. Huge thank you to Jim Winer for taking all entries, Jim Conner for his organization of the parade, Pedro Marin for the music and the Petersen Family for judging. Today’s winners are:

Adult; California Trail Interpretive Center

The Silver State Stampede Flag Team is seeking new members to carry the sponsor flags for the Silver State Stampede Rodeo, July 8th, 9th, and 10th.
The flag team is a group of horse owners and talented riders whose goals (along with dedication, hard work and practice) include having fun & enjoying their horses while being a member of a professional rodeo flag team.
If you think you have what it takes to join the team, the 2022 tryouts will be held on April 20th,24th and 25th at the Elko County Fairgrounds. Applications must be submitted by April 13th. (no walk ons). Applicants must be 14 years if age and an experienced horseman. The girls finished out their pageant with our luncheon yesterday where they displayed their skills in speech, modeling, and impromptu questions.

The pageant is underway and the girls are doing great! With orientation and horsemanship finished up, we look forward to interviews and our luncheon to finish out the pageant!

Great job, ladies! Be sure to watch for them during grand entry at the rodeo tonight and stop by the lemonade stand to say hi!
