We will be set up at the Appalachian Mutual Aid Collective free meal event from 4 to 5 today with dog and cat food. Go to their page for address and information on what they are preparing for today's meal.

We are so looking forward to this day ending with our Svengoolie movie night. Lucille will be able to get out of the crate and watch it with us. This activity was vet approved since it just involves lap sitting.

We are headed home! Still not out of the woods as we have to keep this wild woman calm and that is asking for a miracle...

We are headed home! Still not out of the woods as we have to keep this wild woman calm and that is asking for a miracle. We come back to the vet Monday or Tuesday for a bandage change and to see how everything is healing.

We were able to visit Lucille for a bit today, and let me tell you—she was more than ready to check herself out of the hospital! Unfortunately, she has to stay one more night, but if all goes well, she may get to come home tomorrow.

After spotting the sign on her cage that read, "Be careful, dog will dart," I'm fully convinced Lucille is already plotting her escape. She's probably been studying staff schedules, mapping exits, and recruiting accomplices.

The vet is amazed that she's acting like she didn't just go through a major surgery. Lucille, however, seems to have skipped the "rest and recover" memo entirely. She is one tough little fighter!

Of course, we'll still need to keep a close eye on her for any signs of infection, but for now we're celebrating her spunky attitude and determination.

Keep those good thoughts coming for our favorite little escape artist. Hopefully tomorrow she'll be back where she belongs!

Yesterday's storms were bad here and weird, as a healthy branch broke off the tree by the Bitch Barn but a dangling branch on an extremely old tree is still dangling 😂 it said not today winds not today.

They were wicked wind as I was sitting on our porch and it moved me and the couch across the porch

We have awesome neighbors as he removed the branch for us.
